I came here for one of the most beautiful pieces John Barry ever wrote; Journey To Blofeld's Hideaway. Stunning rendition. Moves me every time I hear it. This was no exception.
This is an excellent performance of John Barry's great music from the opening teaser scene in "OHMSS"(1969) in which Bond rescues Tracy from drowning herself and fights off the bad guys on the beach ("This Never Happened To The Other Fella") as well as the subsequent music in the film. Very nicely done by this group of wonderful musicians!😀
The best medley ever (with really authentic sounds) of the quintessential John Barry score. Saw a version of this live and it was simply incredible - the best live music experience I've ever had. If this doesn't get your Bond blood pumping nothing will!
These boys and girls are totally awesome and are my go to for Bond music and hopefully one day the Bond producers will use theses people for the next Bond theme
This is just beautiful. You should all be massively proud of this. You have done The Governor.. Mr Barry proud.. Damn, I love this soundtrack too. Well Done!
OHMSS score is one of my favorites. Y’all did AWESOME. Wish the wife would leave the house more often so I can really crank it up to feel like I was there in person!
OHMSS is one of the most satisfyingly perfect soundtracks from beginning to end. You guys brought it to life showing great respect to John Barry’s by performing it as it deserves to be, in its pure and original form. Well done and thank you to each and every one of you👏🏻👏🏻
After listening to these tunes for close to fifty years, it is really refreshing to hear "covers" of them. They are close to the originals, but just slightly different enough to allow for a new listening experience. I like that. Keep doing these, please. I love it that you cover the "deep cuts" from the Bond scores. Heck, everybody does the Bond theme or the Goldfinger theme, but you folks are pulling out "Journey To Blofeld's Hideaway"! Fantastic.
Just an amazing performance! “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” is not only John Barry’s richest, most heart-rending Bond score, but serves the greatest James Bond film - starring THE best Bond, George Lazenby. It’s even more fun when you can visualize each scene to match! What a pleasure this was! “This never happened to the other fellow!”
The greatest Bond score from the greatest Bond film... and you've done it absolutely proud. 5.12, and I've just spontaneously burst into tears. This is fabulous!
Thanks Richard! Thats the type of reaction we love :) Dont forget to catch our concert at Piz Gloria for the 50th anniversary of the film. You'll find it on here...
Wow! Just wow! Wish you could do something similar with scores such as The Living Daylights, Diamonds Are Forever and A View To A Kill - Maybe including cues that have not been released on the soundtrack.
I always thought that George Lazenby was really good as Bond. Peter Hunt did a great job on OHMSS. John Barry needs no introduction. My favourite composer, hands down
Great stuff. Would love to hear a rendition of the OHMSS bond theme at the intro without the sudden break it does. It has such a good sound and vibe to it.
John Barry Made The Essential Bond Movie Adventure Score Due To Director Peter Hunt Suggestions Due To Overlap Lazenby In The Role.Score Dominates Theatre Audience.
There's a number of people throughout these recordeings doing extra parts, bear in mind as well as two keyboards, weve also got 2 x percussion triggers that can really do anything too 😊👍
Tout est super mes tu reste sur ta frustration il joue le début du film sans le générique très important donc zéro dommage !!!!! Si non chapeau pour l origine !!!!! Très dessus de n avoir pas entendu le générique original juste après comme prévu dans le film !!!!!
Connery did us a favour by passing on this film. He was bored and indifferent, drifting through “Thunderball” and “You Only Live Twice.” George Lazenby, with no experience, portrayed a more energetic, athletic, human Bond. Connery wouldn’t have had the right chemistry with Diana Rigg; nor would he have done better in the tragic final scene.
@@thomaschacko6320 we must agree to disagree on Connery as Bond in TB, YOLT and (theoretically) OHMSS. He captured the zeitgeist of the 1960s like none other. As a kid I was there to see it in person. With Rigg, whose Emma Peel was one of the two most dazzling women of the era (the other being Catherine Deneuve), the pairing with Connery would have been pure magic.
@@thomaschacko6320 I wholeheartedly agree, Connery did Bond fans a tremendous favor by bowing out of the role. He was tired looking by 1967, chubby, bored and just plain fed up with the role. With his back to the wall, director Peter Hunt had to pull out all the stops-and he did so in spades, going back to basics by remaining faithful to Fleming’s superb novel and even imploring composer John Barry to “go for broke” and give it his all (!)
@@historybuff66 Agree with you 100 percent! To this day, it boggles the mind: We fell from the heights of “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” to . . . “Diamonds Are Forever”! From the minute Connery appeared on-screen - looking like a senior tourist on a cruise ship - I thought, “Oh, goodie, they replaced George Lazenby with his father!” Add to that the cheapness of the production design and the asinine quality of the script! It may be a good thing that Lazenby didn’t stick around for Guy Hamilton’s three pieces of crap.
@@thomaschacko6320 Little did fans realize it at the time but it would take essentially 18 years (1969-1987) to return to the foundation and core elements of Fleming’s world of Bond to steer the franchise back to the basics as envisaged in “The Living Daylights” with Timothy Dalton. And in a further twist of irony, Lazenby could have assumed the mantle of 007 the entire time, his being but 47 years of age in ‘87.

Undoubtedly OHMSS has the best Bond theme.
This conduction was just genius level stuff! John Barry was a true mastermind of sound.

Life long Bond fan, this is without doubt my favourite Bond movie..... nothing to do with it was released in the same year as my birth
More brilliance from John Barry.
Impeccable performances by brilliant talents!
Sounds like it was recorded in a Studio...
10/ 10

Gumbold's Safe😍
You should let others know with a time stamp so they know which cue it is. 24:06
OHMSS is the best of all. John Barry was a genius. Miss him. David Arnold is the only one who comes close.
Vesper's music and City of Lovers in Casino Royale were worthy of John Barry.
I ARGEE
Marvin Hamlish did a decent job in The Spy Who Loved Me
This movie is underrated. Lazemby was the ideal actor, more thsn Connery. Read the novel and you understand. Thanks for the upload ❤
Warren and ensemble, I am speechless. I am a massive fan of the OHMSS soundtrack and you have done both James Bond and John Barry proud.
Can't stop listening to this .... and who would. Truly stunning Warren
Fantastic! Some of the best movie music ever!!!
Je n'en reviens pas de la justesse des chansons, et aussi de la musique qui ont accompagné les 60 annes de l'agent 007 bravo 👏

Best bond score of all
Truly amazing! "Try" is one of my favourites, and the flute solo kills it! I'm blown away!
16:45 - First time I hear a new rendition of my favorite John Barry cue (“Over and Out”) Very good execution!
Still exquisite ❤
This is 20th Century classical music!

A true credit to John Barry
Absolutely superb.. One of the best soundtracks from the bond series, amazingly well done! Thank you!
11:03 i just now discovered this awesome band, amazing job!
Over and out is one of my favourite Barry tracks. So I was over the moon when "Good to have you back" on NTTD referenced it.
So was I, but the use of "We Have All The Time In The World" was an insult to both John Barry, and to OHMSS. NNTD is a nasty, shameful film.
A Million times MAGNIFICENT! THANKS FOREVER, MY THANKS ARE FOREVER, FOREVER ...
Impeccable performances by genius talents.
I love the song we have have all the time in the world from NO TIME TO DIE & OHHSS,,,,,
Obviously a master piece both film and music excellent.

While I loved this, the only thing missing was the full OHMSS theme, there is a little of it in the ski chase. Otherwise, goosebumps

my only regret is that Connery passed on this one. It would have been the best by far had he done it.
