Sadly, he hasn't done the best piece on the album. End of the Dream. The other songs were fine to pretty good. Notthing bad about any of them. Amy had taken the rock out of most of them before. So, nothing was really a stretch on them. Some of them were almost premade already exactly for an album like this (Secret Door) on other albums. But that one was special. Hands down the best piece of work on the album musically.

Out of that, Nightwish was already super famous and successful a pretty long time before Floor joined the band, so Amy has absolutely been aware of Nightwish for a while as well, but probably with either Tarja or Anette as the lead singer. I remember Floor was only well known among the European metal female fronted scene and its fandom for After Forever and ReVamp... But they never got as huge as people like Tarja, Simone or Sharon already were back in late 2000s and early 2010s, especially on the United States where Amy Lee is from and the Symphonic Metal scene isn't as huge as it is down in Latin America for example. Okay, I've been a fan of Amy Lee since 2004, short after I heard Floor Jansen for the first time with After Forever. AF got me interested in Symphonic Metal/ Gothic Metal. Later that year I found Evanescence and Amy. This is one of my favourite songs. Lyrics are awesome and Amy improved her vocal skills for sure! I love the way she shows really strong emotions through her vocals. Beautiful.

As someone who is very familiar with (and loves) Floor's singing, but only heard the hits of Evanescence, I tried to watch this video unbiased. The title certainly did not help, which is a shame. I think this is a very good live performance and Amy sings very well in it. No comparisons to other vocalists needed, nor a clickbait title. I hope fanbases of all sorts of bands and vocalists can be appreciative of good singing without blindly idolizing the person behind it.

There are a whole bunch of versions of Imaginary. It's on the 1998 Evanescence EP, on the 2000 Origin album, there are a couple of demo versions from 2002 and the Mystary EP, then the Fallen album version and later on this Synthesis album version. The original Evanescence EP version is WAY different by the way if you want to hear something interesting.

As someone who is fan of both amy lee and floor i have to say yes floor is stronger vocalist but amy can write amazing songs and plays piano and sing as well so beats floor in that ! Just wanted to point out that Amy never acknowledges Floor's existence in music nor she is a fan of hers. Floor follows Amy on social media and Amy does not even follow her back lmao. Though I hope their paths will cross sometime soon since Lzzy Hale knows Floor and she is Amy's best friend and hopefully she will introduce Floor's musicianship to her. As someone who is fan of both amy lee and floor i have to say yes floor is stronger vocalist but amy can write amazing songs and plays piano and sing as well so beats floor in that ! Floor is also publishing her music as well but amy did it in much younger age . She is mostly a song writer who likes to sing .

Just wanted to point out that Amy never acknowledges Floor's existence in music nor she is a fan of hers. Floor follows Amy on social media and Amy does not even follow her back lmao. Though I hope their paths will cross sometime soon since Lzzy Hale knows Floor and she is Amy's best friend and hopefully she will introduce Floor's musicianship to her. Floor seems like a sweet lady and Amy would love her. Amy supports other female fronted vocalists: Sharon, Simone, Tarja, Lzzy, Taylor, and so many other talented female vocalists.
Floor knows Amy is a talented multi-instrumentalist musician and SUPERB vocalist. She broke the scene and opened so many doors for other female fronted bands out there. I am a big fan of Nightwish not because of their vocalists but because Tuomas is one of the MOST BRILLIANT MUSICIANS in the history of humanity. He can easily replace Floor with a whole other singer if he wants to and Nightwish still rocks!
I hope he can work with Amy Lee to compose music for a film in the future. These two musicians are one of a few musicians that I adore because they are crazily knowledgeable and talented.
I am sooo tired of people comparing all female fronted bands vocalists with Floor Jansen. Nightwish fandom has become so very toxic since Floor joined the band. Floor this...Floor that . . . Yet I don't recall her playing any musical instruments while singing on stage. Sure she has better vocal techniques but everything else is a fair share. Does Floor play other instruments? Bass? Piano? Keyboards? Synth? A montherfucking harp? Does she compose music for film? I kid you not 🤡
Floor's fans out there love to brag about her vocal ability and compare it with Amy Lee in any possible moment because they are so desperate for attention and recognition yet they keep saying popularity does not reflect quality :) and as a vocal expert like you reacting other singers, you shouldn't have used that title in your video just to gain more views. Floor would own this song without even putting effort into it. Amy seems to work hard to get the power. I like here belts a lot better then the lower parts she sings. But she is far from being close to Floor. That is not a shame. Floor is just one of the best female vocalists. Maybe even the best. I don’t know if Amy is classically trained like Floor?

Exactly what I was thinking. I also noticed that when she perform on stage she always bending over while forcing to belt and that would be a big problem because it will destroy her breath support. It doesn't matter if she won alot of awards but her singing style is so radio friendly standard type of voice and there's no special about it if you compare to professional singers out there.
