I live in PG County today (and have since 1999) - but much further west. Still, I have spent a bit of time on the Bladensburg (and points east) area - which includes Lanham, New Carrolton, Seabrook, Riverdale, etc. MD 704 - now Martin Luther King Boulevard used to be George Palmer Highway. MD 214 (Central Avenue) runs from the DC line all the way east to Annapolis' southern suburbs (in fact, it crosses both US 301 and MD 2 before it croaks - the former at a modified cloverleaf). Inside the Beltway, MD 202 is the *star* of this video - it connects to the interior urban core of Prince George's County (Bladensburg, Riverdale, Hyattsville, College Park, Riverdale Park, etc. all of which are basically "suburbs" of the University of Maryland at College Park and Prince George's Community College. The only limited-access roads in this area are the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (owned and operated by the National Park Service - and patrolled by the United States Park Police - which has a substation in Greenbelt) and US 50. US 1? Please - it's a surface street (Baltimore Avenue) and is as chockablock of traffic lights as MD 202 OR MD 214.
