    Great to see someone from greater Sacramento bringing the A game on RUclips related to everything gardening. We had our builder install mp rotator heads but also with a PRS40 which regulates the pressure to 40PSI. I think the combination is even better in terms of efficient watering.

    Janey, we love your videos! One of the things we have added to our watering system is the Flume water monitor. It attaches to your water meter with a rubber band. The app allows you to monitor your water usage over the month. We have used it to dial in our watering system, monitor for leaks, and ensure we don't get ourselves into the top tier of the water rates. I'll have to check out those MP Rotator heads for the small section of grass I'm putting in this year.

    I'm with ya, I love a beautiful lawn. I'm on 2 acres, long acres. Mine gets watered by Mother Nature or not at all, some yrs come Aug, it's looking put rough, doesn't take much rain for it to bounce right back.

    We replaced our sprinkler heads with MP Rotator heads last summer and they're awesome! Highly recommend! Thanks for these videos Janey! I'm learning so much!!!

    I removed most of my lawn in my frontyard and all of it in the backyard and replaced with California natives. I left a small patch in the front with one sprinkler head. I will hopefully be lawn free by next year. Thank you for this informative video, Janey. :)

    Good and thorough info. I only have a small patch in back that's getting smaller every year. It's mostly those little daisy type weeds. I'm pondering more really short ground covers in some parts to diminish more "lawn".

    I’m loving water week! Literally the area I struggle with most. I have sandy soil and didn’t know about multiple cycles, this summer is going to be a game changer. Thank you a million times for sharing with us.

    This is so interesting. I have almost no lawn left because of the number of trees on my lot 9. We get water restrictions every summer but not because of drought but because the water processing plants can not keep up with the demand for water. A couple of communities In my area had to go to no outside water and our lakes are full. Next time someone asks me how much to water I am sending them to your video. Have a great day.

    Janey - every other Spring I air rate, de-thatch & over seed my lawn. - I have a sprinkler that attaches to my hose - I do 20 min each section every other day. I use Scott turf builder in Spring, then milorganite 3x till fall. I put down a fall fertilizer. So far so good. 🤞🏻

    Great job on explaining the lawn watering process. Love your channel. Any ideas on why I have tulips blooming before my daffodils? They are blooming as short tulips. As in little to no stem blooming just out of the ground. I live in your 9B area. It’s great to see early color but…what’s happening?

    Great info and again, thank you so much for sharing your MG learning experience. I have Bermuda Grass with clay soils. 7B, MS. I have been studying it's needs for some time now and have discovered it is better not to water so I am blessed. In dry conditions, if not watered, it learns to go deep to find the moisture in the soil. sometimes it will brown up abit, but that means it is just going dormant until rain comes again. I hand pull weeds as my lawn is mainly walking paths and so doable. I mean, why apply poisons to your yard, while at the same time attracting pollinators? I fertilize with Milorganite in the spring and let all the clippings go back into the lawn as the grass will choke out weeds when it is more lush. Just my experience.

      Sounds like you have a great lawn Jo! I agree, hand pulling is just not that bad! (well, i have a tiny lawn so its not that bad for me!)

    maybe you'll address this on your next video but I'll go ahead and ask. Is it advised to only attach 1/4 drip lines only to supply line and not 1/2 inch emitter lines.

    • @DigPlantWaterRepeat
      @DigPlantWaterRepeat  Год назад

      That is exactly what they said in my MG class Ron! Said it was basically like adding more emitters to the tubing. There is only a certain point until the pressure can't keep up.
