个个演技爆表，真是好剧。
The Empress had everyone fooled....with the exception of Yingluo. She's been playing the long game. The realization that the Empress pushed her to the abyss is laughable...because Chun thought she had the upper hand when it came to the Empress. She didn't realize that she created a heartless monster with her little antics. Chun's hatred for the late Empress because Fuheng rejected her was the dumbest thing ever....she's just like Erqing...blaming the late Empress because Fuheng has no interest in her. They couldn't accept the fact that Fuheng chose Yingluo. Unfortunately their fate was cut short but he never stopped loving her and protecting her. I'm glad the Empress killed Chun....she finally got her revenge. Unfortunately Chun's karma took far too long...lol but she got exactly what she deserved. If she would've used her brain...at the beginning she could've avoided being a pawn for the Empress. The Emperor played a huge role in all these women losing their minds...he didn't pay any attention to his treacherous harem...and allowed these women to run amok....he turned a blind eye...and paid a heavy price.

He did turn a blind eye. And it's sickening how being favored meant some of them literally got away with murder. I was recently watching the clip of Gao having the milk poured on Yingluo, stepping on her hand, and then threatening to have it cut off and her eyes taken out. The Emperor saw Yingluo's hand and knew she had been mistreated. Between him and the first Empress, the consorts were running amok. The late Empress was a sweetheart, but she knew what Gao was like and still shut herself away for that awful woman to torture innocent people. I would've loved to see how the harem was with Yingluo in charge. She knew what everyone was up to and punished as needed.
@@hpr2008 well the late Empress miscalculated because she assumed if she treated the women with sincerity that she could control the harem. In the end her gentleness is what got her into trouble.
