5:43 This is the exact issue I was having that led me to RUclips in the first place. Couldn’t figure out why Composer wasn’t generating files in the proper place. Thanks for creating this video!
Hey brother I still have this issue. The generated files in Cursor are not updated or mirrored in Xcode but I feel like I linked properly the folder. Any solution please?
@@MartinBenesPsMake sure you are using the composer in Cursor and not the chat window. If it looks correct in Cursor, maybe try restarting Xcode or dragging files in manually
I had the same issue. Wondering if the issue has been resolved from your end by following the instruction in the video? Did the files generated in composer automatically added and reflected in Xcode?
to me the best thing about cursor is its auto complete feature, there just not another tool out there that comes even close to it, they could make cursor become a plugin some day so it can be installed everywhere
I like the format. As someone new to app development, I would appreciate an even slower more detailed explanation when you are switching windows. For example, for my first project, I didn’t know how to find the preview screen when I hit some key and lost it.
I've started playing with Cursor. I would be curious to see if it can convert an application from one language from another. Like if I made an iPhone app and then want an android version, would it convert it?
Will have to give this a try. Looks super helpful. Was hoping apple was going to interstate swift assist to have more prompt features like this but seems they are way behind the ai game.
You should always ask the GPT to do planning first, especially if you already have a software background. Think of yourself as the architect and the GPT is a junior engineer that you've given a feature request to. You want to verify that they've solved the problem theoretically and have a good implementation plan before they start coding.
CURSOR has an error recently following iOS 18.1 (simulator) INSTEAD of [ CMD/SHFT/I ] use just [ CMD I ] you are correct to say there is no other obvious way to find it in the menu[s]
Kinda feels like our jobs are going away with this unlock lol, not fully of course but have heard of many non devs pushing out apps per month, theres zero question the barrier to entry just collapsed, deep dive expertise and staying current is now the only defence to keeping a job….
Oh my gosh! Your jobs will never go away! Skilled coders are worth her weight and gold. But this enables us no coders to do is prototype and get something functional. To do the real tricky stuff and get the professionalism built in we need all your professional coders!
AI code generators often gives strange code and I only know this because of my coding experience :) AI code generators is just Stackoverflow without the a**holes :) cavet emptor..buyer beware..... cavet coder..... coder beware :)
lol, it barely does what the exp. dev. in this video is prompting to it. It's good for getting started on a feature, will not replace devs anytime soon.
@@ShadowD2C Don’t think so. How will senior devs become senior without being juniors first? The point of junior devs is to take workload from senior devs, AI doesn’t do that. It requires a dev to write prompts, argue with it when it spits out bad code, etc.., instead of working on something meaningful. AI is just a tool to simplify some tasks, it won't replace anyone IMO, it can't even replace copywriters cause it spits out nonsense most of the time.

Yes I really want Xcode plugins
cmd + i opens the composer in the UI, tabbed with chat, rather than as an overlay

Great teacher, really appreciate your videos!
thx chris, the way you teaching is really amazing

Brilliant, just what I have been waiting for. Only 12 mins in to the vid and I'm already building simple apps, magic..
Great video! I like this form of video- very informative
can you tell me about OOP concept. is it mandatory to learn ? how can i learn it easily with example
I have a Swift App using UIKit, I wonder if cursor can convert the UIKit GUI into SwiftUI, time to give it ago!
command+Shift+I dont response? is it working?
Hi Chris, I am CWC+ student, I hope you can produce more advanced learning course of iOS development. thanks.

Would I have to purchase Claude and Cursor monthly plan or does Cursor subscription come with Claude pro plan?

Thank you for mentioning my websites, Chris! ❤
Does it code for Swift 6 already?
