Hey, I want to ask you about that interesting guy/method you found, where the marinade gets injected into the fish through its vasculature (sort of like embalming, isn't it?)
Don't you think that could be done for more than just fish? I'd think that the bigger the creature (ie. really big tuna, or a cow, or a hog) then the more useful that guy's approach becomes for flavoring the meat, and even preserving it. Bigger animal has bigger vasculature, which is more useful for transporting the marinade throughout the meat. I can imagine that spices and seasonings could be more effectively distributed within the meat that way.

Fun fact about ole Pliny the elder (Pronounced Pleenie). He was a badass naval commander, who sailed TOWARDS Pompei after Vesuvius erupted to help the citizens. He sadly died on the beach from asphyxiation. His son, Pliny the younger, accounted the best preserved documentation of the disaster. To this day we use the term Plinian eruption to describe catastrophic level eruptions. It's also a super good beer lol.
