I just have to say, I never get tired of your ability and how you teach me more than just how to repair small engines and many other repairs. I have been watching your show for sometime now. You always start the show with If i can do it. you can too. I have used that in my life in many ways, and I thank you for it...That saying helps me in many things that I do in life....love your program....NICK FROM MINNESOTA
You're very welcome! I'm glad it was helpful. Please give this video a thumbs up, subscribe if you haven’t already and share my channel to help it grow. It would be greatly appreciated!
Watched video for 2410 carburetor. You mention an ultrasonic cleaner. Can you put the entire body of the carburetor in, including the plastic parts? Also, what type of ultrasonic cleaner is recommended? I know my wife has one for her jewelry that has a pink liquid but wasn’t sure if there was a specific one for this type of work. Thanks for these videos, huge help!!!
You can put the entire carburetor in after you dissemble it, jets, bowl, all plastic parts, etc. I purchased a Vevor ultrasonic cleaner and use Simple green concentrate mix with water.
one of my friends puts his carb jets and tubes in GooGone, which gets the sticky garbage out. Thoughts? I still would follow up with carb cleaner but not a bad idea.
I personally never used that product and never will. I normally use a ultrasonic cleaner. I have been showing my videos without using my ultrasonic cleaner (I do not think the normal person would have one and should not need to purchase one) showing how most carburetors can be cleaned without using much, just what you may have on hand.
@@JohnsonsSmallEngines so true, being 63 and learning how to do this, I seem to be fixing my neighbor's stuff more and more. So far two lawnmowers, 1 snow blower, and soon a generator that revs up and down but runs. But maybe he won't trust me with it and take it to a real shop but I can tell you it is his carb...he only runs it ever few years. Thank you for being a blessing and helping us all.
Sounds like you’re a busy person! Tell your neighbor with the surging generator he can just run it with the choke in the half position or place the choke where the engine will not surge. Yes, you are correct. Your neighbor needs a rebuild or replace the carburetor. You should not run the generator plugged into the house while it surges. Not good for anything plugged into it as the electric will also surge unless the generator is an inverter. Just a little heads up:) Take care!
@@JohnsonsSmallEngines good to know! He was running his refrigerator and sump pumps, and I forget what else. Now that you say it, it seems so obvious! I took small engines as a single class back in 1979 so rusty is an understatement. Nothing like a color blind person doing repairs but my favorite thing was rebuilding carburetors. (I retired from 22 years of repairing microscopes).

I enjoyed your teaching on small engines, the D110 John deere tractor is put away for winter, I'll catch ya on the next one.
Hey Mack, How is your John Deere doing?
@JohnsonsSmallEngines doing real great runs like a champion
Nice!!! Glad to hear.
You know your stuff and you get the job done
Lots of good information right there, i always have to take my time with carburetors 😊
You could teach medical student how to do heart surgery. Explain it so good. Thanks a million
