    BLat, I admire so you much. Not just as a Pro Angler but as a real Stand Up person. You make no excuses, tell it like things are and move forward to your next mission whatever it is or wherever it takes you. That's the mark of a Real Man and Gentlemen.

    Harris is a huge lake with a lot of options both in and around it. Next time you're flipping Harris, try the north east side which has a connection to Haines Creek. Apopka and beauclare are nice but it burns so much time to get to

    Man being a mostly bank fisherman I wouldn't know where to begin on a big lake or river besides the vegetation I'm pretty sure everywhere would look like a good spot being used to small windows from the bank I'd feel like I was looking into a mirror

      What we're learning how to understand. Is what 'expanding within the same area'. Actually means. Versus what some of us might think it means. What made it hard, was being able to identify successfully a primary and secondary patterns (that were related to Florida, the snap weather condition, and the fact that the bite changed as the hours went on). To an extent where. On 'day one' there had been that opportunity. Having caught the thirteen or fourteen pounds weight of fish. To simply utilize a final 'hour' of fishing. In order to try and look for. What a tertiary bite or pattern might be (having fished all of the ways through the first day on that secondary flipping bite). Which as a bite. It seemed to move into focus and then out of focus again. According to some time clock. Because on day one. If one had stumbled across something like a tertiary bite (to attach on to those primary and secondary ones). One then had that extra 'long' day. On day two. To take full advantage of that tertiary bite. And without having to move area even. Just explore and expand within the same area.

    • @academicmailbox7798
      @academicmailbox7798 2 года назад

      It took me pretty much thirty years of fishing though. To develop that understanding about fishing (how to work within the same area, but work in different ways within that same area). I know that I was already forty years of age. By the time, this finally made sense. I tell it to other anglers sometimes (who never seem to believe it either). Who have recently passed from their late twenties. To their early to mid thirties (and they seem to think they're ancient). Because you have to fish a different way. In a sporting based activity (and in one's teens and twenties, there is a sporting aspect to fishing). By virtue of the reality. That one has energy and stamina to burn. People discover that does not exist any longer. When they pass mid thirty. And they start to learn. How to conserve energy and better plan. It's not though, until one is more than forty. That that 'penny drops'. Of where people figure out. How to expand within the same area. By fishing in different ways. At different times.

    • @academicmailbox7798
      @academicmailbox7798 2 года назад

      That penny drops really late. In the anglers life. It's also the reason why. So many of these anglers. When they hit that age between forty and fifty years. It really is the time period. In which many things. Can all come together at once. And in some weird way. That I don't fully understand why. I tell this sometimes to younger anglers (who by virtue of the fact they have been 'successful' in the industry, the sport or the past time). They think of themselves as veterans. Who know everything. The fact is. That anglers can't know all of it. Until they've fished their way. Through that time period between forty and fifty. And within that time period. I would say the early forties is a magical time. It's when that first real 'light bulb' moment happens. It could be something small. The mid to later forties can be exhausting. Because it's when lots and lots of light bulbs can go off. And it feels like. Why didn't I figure that out before. So 'time' within that age of the angler. Is actually scarce. It's like sand escaping through the glass. It happens really quick. When it does happen.
