@@Grimshawpoet it was basically the minimum amount of tame a show legally needed to air. They literally originally pitched this as an adult cartoon to various networks, but got a slot on the hub because an executive randomly remembered seeing the pilot online

He did it because Dan doesn't have anyone that knows or cares for him but Chris and Elise. Nobody to identify the imposter.
I imagine that if the show continued, we'd finally get an episode where Imposter Dan drops his charming facade. I just wonder what his endgoal was. He's apparently terrible enough to have ruined his own identity and potentially others, yet no one seems to dislike him. The only obvious answer I see is that he's actually a manipulator that intends to break people after he grows on them or he ends up stealing from people who trust him.
Maybe his only goal is to have something interesting in his life. I have my own ideas for his past and reasons. Usually identity thiefs doesnt really have a reason but to be someone they arent. Maybe im overlooking the character too much but its because he's one of my favorite characters.

Who’s to say he ruined his own identity? Typically people who steal identities didn’t come from messed up childhoods, or are on the run, they get addicted to stealing identities and it’s just fun. You get to play pretend all while never worrying about taxes, loans, or even relationships because often those who knew the victim of stolen identity are hiding deep, deep, deep loathing for them and want a replacement; like a new phone or a new new car all paid by someone else’s insurance. Check out the documentary ‘Imposter’ these indenting thieves are something else entirely with motives beyond rationality.

Imposter Dan failed to follow the most important role of taking over someone's identity- NEVER actually become the person you're impersonating. He got what was coming to him, only stinks that he got off with an eventual win when Dan could've easily beat him.
I find it funny that this was on the hub for kids it seems like an adult show unless it wasnt on the hub and was aired after like an adult swim type thing

@@JerkOfTheYear there’s an error in the episode “Shakespeare Theatre” where Chris’s scar that he got from getting whipped in the face by a toupee disappears in one scene and then in the next one it comes back, the animation isn’t really that good.

@@mrreality3650 Nothing it was my own fault I left my wallet at a park. Rather than turn it into the police the person who found it used my information to get themselves a credit card. It took me months to figure out where all my money was going. Naturally it was going to bills to pay for their credit card.

@@mrreality3650 I just asked Master Card to turn their card off once I proved I did not open the account. I did not want to deal with the legal fees of suing the man. I did however press charges and he's in or was in prison. It's been about 5-10 years since that happened so yeah he should've already done his time.
