It's like people don't consider that these perpetrators still have loved ones. Yeah, it might be upsetting to see them defend a killer, but it's still someone's son. I feel bad for the mothers and fathers that have to live with knowing they raised a son that did something horrible.
Think about it: the last thing the perp hears before they go to jail is the pain they caused their own family. I say every perps family and loved ones should absolutely lose their shit and wail in pure grief when the sentence is handed down. Let that moment resonate in the criminals mind for a while.
Because they are no better than the SCUMBAGS they raised. I remember a case in Canada where the POS family members were threatening the victims family RIGHT IN THE COURT HOUSE. POS had shot their teenage son in the face when he had tried to stop a robbery the store in which he worked. THE KILLER WAS NATIVE INDIAN.
I guess you don't understand what it is like to have a family member commit a crime, having had to sit in a bench behind a family member who sat on another bench admitting to doing something your very soul is against, it is still impossible to not love that family member. That's something I never understood. If somebody in my family did something like that, even if it was my own brother, my statement to the court would be in favor of the victim's family and I would want that monster out of my life.
10 years ago my cousin was murdered by his best friend (the best friend and my cousin’s fiancé were having an affair. the best friend thought killing my cousin would sway her affections fully in his favor). i will never forget how the murderer’s family would not even look at ours. not a empathetic nod or sympathetic gesture throughout the whole trial. when he was sentenced, they all broke down in loud hysterics, crying and falling all over the place. i never got over their lack of emotion to my cousin’s death, or their emotional outbursts behind their family member’s self-imposed fate. this video was triggering.

The families going at it and fighting after he was taken away is embarrassing... it’s one thing to attend trial and be sad because your loved one is sentenced to life, but another to try to throw down to the victims family
What?!! He has to pay for his actions?!! "This some bullshit man!" I'm so sorry that you're not used to taking responsibility for anything in your life especially your actions but that's what happens in the grown-up world.
M. Amador I actually believe the cop was innocent because of everything in the case. As a cop and detective you need to have a mindset of "innocent until proven guilty" of which the female detective investigating the case had the mindset of "I'mma prove he's guilty!!" Which first off red flag there. Secondly the way she handled the case was going around asking about a sexual assault, which if you didn't know is not the way to go about it because then they could confess for money or fame or something of those sorts. She should've conducted the investigation in a more appropriate manner such as asking about incidents with cops recently yet very vague-like, "when's the last time you made contact with anyone in the department whether it be regarding speeding etc.?" Or "have you had any bad experiences with any cops lately?" And see where that leads on from there don't just straight up ask. Thirdly one of the girls who "confessed" admitted multiple times prior that nothing happened to her until, what I presume, she gave way to the detective to satisfy her, give her what she wanted, or get her to shut up because after sitting down for so long in a interview or whatever type of set up it was I'd be tired of constant pushing and eventually cave in so I could be let go. Fourthly no actual dna evidence was found on his clothing besides on the outside of his zipper, of which the woman who they found it to be said that she wasnt sexually assaulted. Fifthly another woman who "confessed" described it to be a "short black man" of which holtz is much taller than her, yet she described him being shorter, and he, as you can, see looks to be of some Asian or white descent, which isn't at all him. Those are the primary reasons I believe he's innocent and I actually feel really freaking bad for the guy because he doesn't deserve it at all.
@@jakem749 Because he's a cop. In this day and age, you're automatically bad if you're a cop, and they were punishing him for that fact, not for what they thought he did or did not do. This was just an excuse to punish him.
I find it heartless to shout "I LOVE YOU BABY!" to a man that just took another person's life. How can you not have the respect for the family of the victim to keep quiet and think about the severity of what he did first?
These criminals grow up to be like this for a reason; they're taught to think and act that way. Completely selfish and self serving, the only thing that matters to them is their own feelings at the end of the day. Anyone else's, no matter how badly they were wronged, be damned.
Cause love makes you blind. It certainly made parents of kids of the like of dahmer and Bundy blind Okay actually I researched some more I lose on both accounts. Dahmers family was horrible and Bundy was a calculated liar so his parents never knew. I take the L this time internet
The 263 year guy had a case completely built up against him in the craziest way, the witness's identified him as a short black man, when he's six three and half white and half asian. the female detective just went around to women saying a cop raped them and they were like sure let me collect a lawsuit check. It's crazy that he's behind bars for this. The initial woman that alleged he raped her didn't have any of his DNA in her mouth which is the hole she said he raped, then he didn't have any DNA on him from that woman at all so it's just mind boggling that he was convicted.
I was looking for this comment. I was surprised when I saw the scene of the man jumping, because I thought he was just a normal guy walking around and not the convicted person. He had no handcuffs at all.
Was curious about this so investigated, the clip of the jump isn't Jason Binkiewicz but is actually from the death of Robert Seman in Mahoning County Courthouse in Youngstown, following a pretrial status hearing. He wasn't handcuffed at all.
I have no sympathy for these people. They are still alive while their victims are dead. Maybe not literally dead in some cases, but a piece of them died when they were victimized. Let these criminals rot.
Estrella Hermosillo I don't want to assume anything so not sure how you meant that comment. My first reaction was for you to explain where I was blaming the victim. But then I realized you could have meant the comment to be in general. Because I agree, it's disgusting when people blame the victim.
Jen LuvsHorror life is the only way to guarantee the time. Life is only 25 years without a chance of parole. Because it is a finite amount of time, they may also stack the sentences. Hence the conservative life sentences. But he wasn't given a determinate life sentence (life without mercy). So he'll likely be eligible for parole after serving 8 years of his sentence. And that's assuming that he didn't have a direct appeal to reduce it. From what I'm told, they happen on most lengthy sentences. There is so much more than just making a video to truly understand sentencing.
Patrick Clarke not really the charges run consecutively and each charge has a mandatory minimum that he would have to serve. I would bet that he isn’t up for parole for a very long time if ever cause of all the charges and there mandatory minimums

I think it’s more than the sentence, once he gets out he’s never going to live a normal life again. It’s no ones fault but his own, but that’s how the systems set up. He decided instead of sitting in a cell for 13 years he would just skip the bs.
13 years and with good behavior he'd probably get out in 6. If he was waiting for his trial in jail the judge would most likely would have given him some credit because of that. Killing yourself over that was cowardly. Lots of people come out of jail and lead productive lives. It was his choice ultimately.

Hi Legosi!
I love how someone is brutally murdered and the family of the perp act like they're the victims.
Those are the people who raised them. If they were let go they'd be on social media throwing signs and bragging.
@jasper426 Exactly this. I see comments all the time about how the families are wrong for their outbursts, but they really are victims themselves. It's like people don't consider that these perpetrators still have loved ones. Yeah, it might be upsetting to see them defend a killer, but it's still someone's son. I feel bad for the mothers and fathers that have to live with knowing they raised a son that did something horrible.
This is so sad. And it's in my area where I live too. I had no idea
I know right. It's gets on my nerves.
Think about it: the last thing the perp hears before they go to jail is the pain they caused their own family. I say every perps family and loved ones should absolutely lose their shit and wail in pure grief when the sentence is handed down. Let that moment resonate in the criminals mind for a while.
how does the murders family have the nerve to get mad at the victims family
Because they don't think their family member is guilty.
I know, I have been there. To this day I am still angry they did what they did, but nothing can stop me from loving them and wanting to protect them. I can't even understand it myself.

Amazing how they really really really think it`s unfair that they`re punished.
For someone who is guilty of rape they're crying because they know what happens in prison and if you go to jail as a cop....oh boy
M. Amador
The cop is innocent and got railroaded

Anyone else's, no matter how badly they were wronged, be damned.

numbersix100 he’ll be dead long before then. He’s a cop. Prisoners LOVE cops. Especially rapist ones. 😂
He’s innocent. What’s happened to this guy is utterly terrifying and is the result of incompetence, corruption and politics. Look into it the case.

Jen LuvsHorror there’s a pretty good case to say that he didn’t. Check into it. It’s pretty interesting.
Pfft. He'll only do half that with good behavior..
Jeffrey Sutherland-Legault No he did it. They have emails and DNA. Just his family and interest groups are trying to get him free.

Exactly! He probably would have got out early anyways.. and yeah they straight lied about the shackles
I'm not crying over it. At least he made the choice himself.
I think it’s more than the sentence, once he gets out he’s never going to live a normal life again. It’s no ones fault but his own, but that’s how the systems set up. He decided instead of sitting in a cell for 13 years he would just skip the bs.
I would said, 13 years isnt bad, those 500yr convicts are way worse
13 years and with good behavior he'd probably get out in 6. If he was waiting for his trial in jail the judge would most likely would have given him some credit because of that. Killing yourself over that was cowardly. Lots of people come out of jail and lead productive lives. It was his choice ultimately.

@@804Kimo I wonder how long it would take for the Saudis to pass up our incarceration rate if they were no longer executing people by beheading and crucifixion, but instead incarcerating them. I'm not sure of the exact numbers, but it seems to average about 1 beheading every other day. I haven't found the numbers for crucifixion, or firing squad. And that is just little Saudi Arabia. Now think about the executions in China. Granted the numbers have dropped from the12,000 estimate in 2002, but the number is still in the 1000s. They even make it lucrative with the clever execution vans that they use to harvest the organs from their victims.
