Fractal indicator is a technical analysis tool which was developed by the famous trader Bill Williams which helps traders to identify the possible reversal points. Traders can also predict the direction of the market with the help of this indicator.
We will use the Alligator indicator as a helping indicator in this strategy. Alligator indicator was also developed by Bill Williams and if you want to know more about Alligator indicator and it’s strategies then please visit our channel.
Alligator indicator consists of 3 lines
The Blue line is called Jaw which is 13 period moving average
The red line is called teeth which is 8 period moving average
And the green line is called lips of Alligator and it's a 5 period moving average

Good video about the fractals and alligator indicators. As the indicators react very slowly, the strategy cannot always be used. Many thanks to Riz Trading.
The alligator reacts slowly. This is simply using it as a guide. Stay above or below this point. You could use an MA for that rather the alligator. Really this is just using fractals. I have fractals on my chart as just one extra toy. Like so much of the debris on my chart. Extra toys. Most of it is all about where is it going, rather then where do i get in.
Hell9. Wondering what fractal period you are using? Fractal period 5 is used for breakout trades. 2 for MA signals.
So what happened if the consecutive candlesticks break the fractals first but not until 6 candlesticks? Should we immediately buy/sell or we cancelled it?

What should the period be for the fractal be ?

It totally depends on market movement, but as always the signals on bigger time-frames can give you more profit. You can apply this strategy on 1 hour charts but try not to trade on every signal. Use MACD for validation, please checkout the video which I made on MACD. Thanks
Why wouldn’t you wait for the cross to close your trades? You exit on the reversal and you gain more pips per trade.
That is strategy works alot cleaner when used with a MTF MA. I use it all the time trading the 1 minute and having my MTF MA set to 5, 15 and 30 minutes and only looking for trades after the cross over of the lower time frame through the 2 higher ones. Set the fractals to 9, less signals to filter through.

Yes. A pull back or continuation always occurs on the lower time frames first before the higher one's. @@shaheedanurudeen3974
What happens when the lines read different base on time periods? E.g. the 1 hour period, shows strong buy action. The 15 minutes period shows sell momentum. What trade do you follow?
You can further validate with MACD or RSI and look for divergence. And also it depends on you which trade you want to take, but I'll suggest you to trade on bigger timeframe like H1 or H4.

What is the best time-frame to use fractal indicator?
You can use fractals on every frame but I'll recommend bigger time frames (1H or 4H)
Hai bro I love this strategy very much but I do have a doubt.
According to ur 2 point we have to wait for atleast 6 candles. What if the fractal has been broken by the 3 rd or 4th candle what should we do?
You can trade but according to my study trading after six candles reduces the chances of failure around 70-80%

Seems like if you use if on the 1hr, you can enter as soon as the indicator pops up
Yes you can but for smaller time frames you'll need more validation. You can use MACD, I have made a video on MACD you should watch that video for proper validation. Thanks

No strategy is 100% profitable. You need to modify a little bit and it'll work for you. Just back test every strategy before applying.
