Old flat belt driven machines always fascinating it could be not as quiet as a normal v belt but it is much better to see running, also the lathe is coming out great.
I’ve got a Heavy 10L that needs this exact treatment. If I can ever find the time to work on it, I will reach out for advice. Great video. Thank you for sharing it.
How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. :) You don't need to find much time, just a little here an there, and KEEP ORGANIZED. Feel free to reach out here or on IG @mylilmule as well. I learned a lot from others on here as well - Greg Halligan and George Hall to name two.

This is turning out so well, lot of pride in this restoration!
That thing runs smooth. That third hand you made is awesome, never seen before.
My welding instructors at Lincoln Electric had very similar ones, which is where I first saw them. I've also seen them in some other videos on YT.

@@MyLilMule I’ll give you a follow on IG! Thanks.
Man you make it look just so simple….
Mostly because it is. These South Bend lathes are pretty simple machines.
Umm…in case you didn’t know… that is a nut, not a bolt. Just FYI. 🙄
Thanks. I guess only you and Jesus are perfect.
@@MyLilMule well, I am not perfect, and I am also willing to admit when I make mistakes. Just thought you might want to know there is a difference 🙄
