Hi Mak. Very nice demonstration of a simple yet effective nymph. I tie various pink, red, yellow and white nymphs but I use kids latex rubber balloons, they are cheap and easy to cut up into strips. I do varnish my flies and even add 3.3mm tungsten bead to get them down to the bottom as I am hunting wild steelhead trout. The pink and red are very good after a bit of rain and off white imitates willow grubs. I use to use ribbing like you have shown (must have picked up the idea from one of your previous demonstrations) but have found that leaving it out is just as effective. Thanks again, tight lines.
Great YT Channel! I have enjoyed learning from you and look forward to each show. By the way, could you consider tying a "Cluster" of look alike salmon eggs? Most people use them or tie them using a single egg or two or three "in line", I would like to see a "Cluster of three to five.
Very nice Mak! Thanks for sharing! I fish a lot of Frank Sawyer's "Killer Bug" flies tied short hook as a grub and long hook as a cranefly imitation with excellent results. Question: Compared to the yarn body of the Killer Bug, how durable is the nymph-skin? I've always hesitated using stretched latex for a body because I thought that the latex, being under tension, would tear easily if damaged by the trout's teeth. Cheers! Hank
Thank you Hank, It's not as durable as Yarn of course :), being in & out of water it does change it's colour and becomes weak, but still you can use this for at least few trips,And it's very effective for Grayling, like I have mentioned I have been using it for a while, and it always works Regards ,, Mak
Thank Martinez, I had these Materials for VERY long time, you can buy these from online I am sure, the best thing you can use is Nymph Skin :)), It comes in different colours :))

Look up tying the “Crystal Meth”. The pattern gives the impression of a cluster of eggs.
