    Wow I have been doing CURRI in Florida for about 2 and a half years. The process here is different there is no bidding it comes out at one price and if nobody accepts it then it will go up by $5.00 till someone accepts the price.

    Too many cheap drivers on Curri App. accepting the very first unprofitable offers and not allowing those rates to go up where it’s actually profitable to do it. I

    I agree with you about those bidding apps. I was talking to a driver who uses a website from the UK to bid on deliveries. He showed me an order to move a boat from Texarkana, TX to Philadelphia, PA. He put a bid in for $3895, and 5 minutes after he showed it to me someone put a bid in for $2000. As a numbers guy, the $2000 bid didn’t make sense (especially if you have to deadhead home), unless the other driver was going that way, and had a load out.
    With that said, I think most drivers don’t calculate everything into their bids. This was something that was focused on by Macc Media/Macc Transport & Logistics who I think operates out of your area too.
    Another great video!

    Wow man sorry to hear Dispatch doesn’t respond to your adjustment requests. They always adjust mines within a day. Right on about Dolly, but mannnn i have a hard time with clarity of their English 😅

    Dude the Legend flooring is beast. Mine barely looked used after almost a year of pallets and all type of cargo. They do make wheel arch covers of the same material too. You will love the floor it’s definitely awesome stuff! The diamond plating is great if people bump it with a forklift. 🤘🏼🤘🏼

    Love the new floor in your van and love your content. Question, have you thought about installing a cargo barrier as well to protect you and any passenger from cargo loads potentially shifting?

      Yes, I may get a partition. They run from about $1k to 1.8k. I will be upgrading my van a little at a time. May do that sometime next year.

    What up CJ. Your doing all the good Brutha. I used to be an O/O OTR Driver myself. I had a 2017 Dodge Promaster...been with 5 different Bokers, my last one being v3 Transportation...got out the business back in 2021 due to the economy and covid...gas prices and Major ware n tare on my van, just hit me hard. I lost evrything. I found out bout the Gigg apps a little too late...don't have my van anymore. I want to get back in it, but not doing too good financialy, oh and I also have a (Felony) that's the Biggie. On one of your vids you mentioned that Dispatch goes back 10 yrs., which is good, because my was longer then that...would like to know what other gigg apps or carriers you might know of there Background Criteria? I'm thinking of starting out by renting a cargo van for a few days and testing the water, but kinda' scared to apply for the apps becaus of the background deal. I would like to know what you think. Thank my brutha' keep up the good work. Jerry Del Rio TX

    CJ question Geico want to know is my vehicle used for commercial I'm just using apps what to say?I know you dropped your commercial insurance

    • @BigCJCargoVan
      @BigCJCargoVan  5 месяцев назад +1

      So I never dropped commercial, I just lowered it to my states minimum. Per Texas law, based on the work I do, I must maintain commercial insurance. Gig apps do not require you to have commercial insurance except for box trucks over 10k pounds. If you don't want commercial insurance, if it were me, I'd say my vehicle is for personal and business (uber eats, doordash) stuff like that. You have to do what's comfortable for you. If you say just personal use and you get in an accident, your insurance may not cover you. If you say business, or commercial work, then more than likely, you will need commercial insurance to be covered. Gig apps cover your cargo when hauling a load, but they do not cover your vehicle. It's always best to have commercial, but it's totally up to you. The only way to avoid commercial insurance is to say it's for personal use or personal / business. I have always maintained commercial mainly because that's state law in my state, and it's guaranteed coverage if something happens. Hope that helps.
