As Craig is still making his way to Morocco via a 48 hour ferry, I am now stuck at the airport having missed my flight, pondering what to do with myself as there are no more flights going.
The travel mission continues and FINALLY we are reunited after what seems to be the longest two days of our lives 😂 As a solo female traveller - I think the world would swallow me up haha!
Group travel is the only way for me 😂😂 Get me back to van life - it's safer 😆

Let’s be clear about something, the thought of taking two flights in Morroco, then missing one and having to them sort out a hotel and a train, with changes, would make many people who don’t have generalised anxiety disorder sweat, but you did it. You didn’t think about it, you DID IT! Super inspirational.

You had a surprise luggage pickup, last minute hotel booking, last minute train that made you switch to a second train and then a shuttle to the hotel. And you made it! Im 6ft 4 43 year old ex squaddie that now has really bad Anxiety issues. Aimee there's NO way I could have accomplished alone what you did. You showed real determination and courage and you should be super proud of what you have done. You give people like me courage to think maybe....just maybe I can do that. Stand tall... be proud. As someone that’s suffered from anxiety for my entire life I just wanted to thank you for being so open about your struggles Aimee. Honestly you just got super unlucky because you were at the gate. That’s like my main fear when travelling is that they’ll move the gate without warning. Also you did great and made it in the end 😊 also shout out to Craig for being so understanding and supportive ❤

I just read tonight that morocco is stopping all international flights and ferries because of covid developments, so guys please check out how it unfolds because i remember a campervan guy - something surfing van travel ? - who got stranded there last time they closed down. Now all over europe there are starting severe restrictions because of the new omnicron covid version, but we are still hoping to travel down to spain in jan next year and hop over to morocco, so any updates would be good for us and maybe some of your other followers.
Thank you so much, Aimee for being so honest in this video. You didn’t gloss over how you were feeling, and you didn’t pretend that it wasn’t hard. I want you to know that watching you, being inspired by you, has already helped me to be stronger. I have a fear of driving and honestly, I avoid it whenever I can. I had to pick my husband up from the airport a few nights ago, and it was dark and snowing, and the roads were slushy. I couldn’t even make out the lines on the road. I was so scared. And I just thought of you and this solo trip of yours, and it gave me strength. I can do things that scare me. You can do things that scare you. We aren’t going to be perfect, and it isn’t going to be easy, but we can do it. And each time we do things that scare us, we get a little stronger. You rule your own world, Aimee, and you are helping me rule mine! ♥️

Can I just say, Aimee, you were in a foreign country where English is not the first language, by yourself and having to change modes of transport and you made it. I could not have done it. Hey guys, just a heads up - today Morocco anounced that all international flights to/from the country would stop for initially two weeks re covid - remember last time and it turned into a year - so, check out how the ferry situation is and how it might develope.
I was worrying about them this weekend, as well as Eamon & Bec’s chances of getting back to Casa B. 💝😕

I felt so anxious watching you. I normally travel solo and the feeling when you miss flights/trains is beyond frightening on your own. Solo travel definitely helped me with my anxiety but I haven't done any form of travelling since before Covid and now I feel like I've taken 10 steps back and the thought of doing it again on my own fills me with dread.

The world is waiting for you! When it’s safe and possible for you to do so, get back out there. You’ve done it before and can do it again. Covid throws some wrenches into plans, but it’s nothing you can’t conquer!

I travel solo all the time and love it... but there are days where it just feels too much and I am not sure I'm capable. I can't imagine how much harder it was for you... you should be super proud that you DID that!! It's okay to never want to do that again, but hopefully if you ever had to, somewhere in the back of your brain will be a tiny voice reminding you that you've done it before. So glad you're back together again and can get through everything as a team!
I love following your vlogs but normally I don't comment. 63 year old bloke sitting here in tears watching you're reunion. Aimee when you said you were going to sleep at the airport I was worried for your safety (it's a dad thing, I have a 32 year old daughter). So glad you decided to go find a hotel. Craig is a smashing bloke and you are lucky to have him. Hopefully when I get my van sorted I'll meet the pair of you on the road somewhere. Aimee you seemed so calm in the moments immediately after realising you'd missed the flight, I'd have been all over the place not thinking properly! Really pleased you chose a hotel over the airport floor. Definitely worth it for piece of mind (let alone the amount of hours it was!) I am very excited for the Morocco vlogs to come. I hear you but think it is also important say that I can appear super calm but be boiling up inside so that may be the same for Aimee :) I literally get called insensitive because I process stressful situations differently ^^ just so you get another perspective

Hurray Aimee! I nearly always travel solo which means I rarely have anyone who sees my anxiety skyrocket other than complete strangers. Trains are my preferred mode of travel - business, economy, slow or fast.

Aimee, My God! how can you doubt yourself? you were bloody amazing! You missed a flight in a foreign country and organised a decent hotel a safe passage to that hotel and then organised a train in said foreign country AND had to change to get a second train!!! I dare anyone to say that would have been easy, you bloomin pat yourself on the back babe. You deserve to feel pride in that mammoth accomplishment, anxiety is soul destroying (my middle son has fought most of his life with it) and I've no doubt you were kacking it, but you did it, you didn't fall apart and you deserve kudos for that. Craig, my heart goes out to you too, not knowing how she was or even where she was must have put your anxiety through the roof too. That meet up at the end had me sniffling in to my cuppa, this one had all the feels lol. Enjoy now, you deserve it xx

Way to go Aimee. I looked tough due to you anxiety, and missing the 2nd flight, but like Craig said, you should be proud of yourself for making it there. I just finished watching this week's video, and I must say I am so proud of you both!! What a trip! ...and the last few minutes had me rolling on the floor laughing! I just love you two! ❤❤
I used to have MAJOR anxiety due to my severe insecurities, over-thinking and co-dependency that I had with my (then) husband...But I FINALLY learned how to nip it in the bud forever! I suggest meditation, being the watcher of your mind (NO "What ifs" allowed!) and incorporating some self-tapping (EFT) for anxiety. You can find EFT/tapping videos on YT for anxiety and it's easy to follow along (it's self-applied acupressure) and it WORKS. Never say that it's two steps backwards love. In my book, you took MAJOR leaps forward. Let this be your catalyst for more!!!!

(And these thoughts actually make you have these situations, I had EXACTLY the same, but solved it through inner work and self love, would never have believed this was possible). If you can go on a plane, deal with stress of changing plans, big emotions of most probably self hate, feeling stupid etc, + having huge amount of anxiety…. Girl you’re the champ of champs! One of the number one ways to help anxiety is to make sure you eat properly. If you don't it exasperates it. Love the vid stay awesome.

Just watched this and I’m so proud of who you were then. Traveling outside your comfort zone and even though you missed the flight you succeeded in getting there. So unbelievably proud of you! Anxiety and all. And a year later you are such a stronger person, rockin life! Keep kinging it!!!
In the future, you need to remind yourself, Aimee, that everything that could go wrong, did, and you got through it all. You’re only ever lost temporarily before you find your way home again (I loved when you said Craig’s home - cos you’re each other’s home 🥰)
As someone with a panic disorder and severe anxiety, airplane travel is its own special circle of hell. Im so so proud of you for getting through it, and being able to push through the discomfort. That is absolutely a step forward even though it may not feel like it at the moment

Late to commenting on this video, but my gosh did my girlfriend and I just want to jump through the screen and help you get to your destination Aimee. We cheered when you made it! My girlfriend also has anxiety and just like when she does something that makes her uncomfortable, I am so proud of you for travelling solo!
