I finally got around to watching this video. Yay! Initially I had no.plans of buying this Mer-Man because I was quite content with the second version. But after seeing your review, you have convinced me otherwise. Also, I love the idea of using the previous two Mer-Man figures as underlings for the newest version. I wasn't going to get the very first Mer-Man either but I think they all look different enough to pass as their own unique characters.
I reckon that Skeletor looks pretty damn good too. I'll be adding that to my list as well.
For most of my action figures, characters from DC Marvel TMNT G.I. Joe etc. I don't mind all the variant figures. When it comes to He-Man and the MOTU. I don't care for all the variants. Don't get me wrong, they look really good. I'm good with just one variant of all these figures.
Although when it comes to collecting, I’m ballin’ on a budget, both are ‘must gets’ for me!
Honestly not sure how I feel about the New Eternia Mer-Man. The eyes are definitely cool and unique, but something about the face sculpt looks weird to me. I think you also called it, he doesn’t feel “muscular” enough, which might be what feels “off” about him. Definitely some Lords of Power influence in the design.
Battle Armor Skeletor, on the other hand…yeah, one of the best-looking iterations I’ve ever seen! That face sculpt with the articulated jaw is the chef’s kiss. He looks truly demonic, and even the helmet gives him a very menacing look! Awesome figure!

Skeletor looks great. Not sure about Mer-Man and whether there is enough change or not.
Love the figures, love the art. I hate the new packaging. Cardboard doesn't curve(unless you're the Horde 4 pack) and it just looks cheap.
I'll buy em, just not a fan of the new box form.
