    It's well known Bynum didn't have passion for basketball but when you are 7+ft tall, you are pretty much forced to play so he took the opportunity to make millions of dollars, and once his knees gave out he essentially, gave up and didn't want to play anymore. Teams gave up on him, and he gave up on himself. He didn't have a love for basketball. He was just good at it. Once he got his money, he generally didn't care about being in the NBA it seemed. So that's that.

      Which to be fair, that’s the vast majority of ppl. I haven’t loved any job I’ve ever had… but I’ve grown accustomed to sleeping indoors and eating every day.
      This weird obsession some people have on pro athletes needing to love a game will always be weird. Very few careers require you to begin training for it at 8 or 9 and not stop practicing it until you’re in your 30’s.

    Wasted talent... He showed glimpses with the Lakers of being a top center in the league but he lacked discipline.

    • @gunotlucio
      @gunotlucio Год назад +2

      Wasted? He got two rings I think we gotta put some respeck’ on his name. He didn’t play 09 but I think without him in 2010 we probably didn’t have the small edge we had against Celtics. Without him gasol probably woulda been center with Odom at 4 then no bench players to step up. Okay it wasn’t that much of a difference at the time but he put in a lot of work with Kareem and it showed later durin 2011 season. I thought it was dumb to trade him for Dwight at the time.

    • @albertc2390
      @albertc2390 Год назад

      @@gunotlucio Yes, wasted. In the same way that Shaq wasted his career to some degree. Bynum had a lot of unrealized potential due to lack of discipline.

      Lol they were draining his knees before every game in the 2010 playoffs. He traded his health for early rings and I don’t blame him 🤷🏽‍♂️
