i also love how she used the purple lipstick because it represents a woman who reveals in her power and feminity. who's strong individual sexy confident etc. and she portrayed that vibe perfectly with this choreo
Istg ryujin's charisma and facial expressions are very attractive and it really gives an impact on her performance and you just cant help but be captivated by her which also made it looked like she was performing as if she owned the song. absolutely agree with what you’re saying! i don’t get how people are hating on this because apparently they thought the choreo isn’t hard enough, it’s aotm and what she did here is really fitting to the title.. she might not show her full dancing skills but her artistry is shown so much in here. she’s able to match the message she wanted to deliver with the song and i think that’s incredible
As an Ahgase I've always had a special place for Ryujin in my heart because she was 'discovered' at a GOT7 fanmeeting, and I've been so proud/happy to see how she's bloomed in terms of her dance, her charisma, and her onstage persona. I'm not a dancer so I won't go into technicalities, but even in a group of strong dancers like ITZY, she shines extra brightly to me. Her dancing is really unique and distinct, and it's no surprise that she continues to go viral for her moves.

I really don't get why people say that the company made her dance can easy dance when she can dance harder chores. I agree that it might not show her full dancing skill but I always thought the artist of the month shows like idols dancing in a style they are the most comfortable in, or the style they know the most or like the most. Yes Ryujin is a great dancer and she can probably dance harder choreographies, but this shows more of her as in her persona, I think. For example there is a lot of popping and tutting (I think that's what it's called) which I know Ryujin is kind of known for. There is a lot of facial expressions going on as well, which she is also pretty known for. I personally loved this performance a lot.
Agreed! I think a lot of fans expected a dance focused routine from ryujin and got upset when she delivered something different. This was a performance that ryujin WANTED to do and unfortunately some viewers didn’t respect her decision 😒
The company didn't choose the song, it's the artists' free will how they would like to express their individual color and style. You might want to check out the Ryujin's Artist of the Month "choreo record" (also released by studio choom) it's like a behind the scene video

Ryujin is my favorite from Itzy, but I just wanted a little bit more from this choreography. There wasn't as many wow moments as some of the other artists of the month. I love her talent, but I really don't feel like this showcased it to the max.
This is Ryujin style. We are so used to her being this powerful dancer that we know that she can bring out something better but this performance is what she really want to show her fans. This is her solo spot and I am thankful to see this side of her.
