I landed on this comment right when the part happened and I just thought, "yeah thank you for putting it plainly " cause her explanation wasn't good enough and he just HAD to share his viewpoint on the razor😅

@@DuggyDarko You know, back then though, kids thought it was cool as hell, but it's even worse than how he explained it here.
The video game cartridge was essentially an overhead projector screen, but only in crappy red light. So the cartridge would just light up certain spots at a time when playing, into a mirror and then onto your screen in front of your eye. As in, it was completely static. Every game was extremely limited to a few tiny moveset because they physically couldn't put anything else on the screen they were projecting through.
all that being said, I still remember bringing mine to overnight camp with me and a walkman cd player. Thought I was king shit.
Not knowing the reference, Shelby's girlsplaining was sufficient for context, but Matt's mansplaining made me commiserate.
Just gotta add, Nintendo and Universal sent a lot of "influencers" to a private launch, so it's nice to see what the *real* experience is like. I am not waiting in line for four hours to do anything
thats what any new area in a park is like for a while after it opens. as someone who lives in Florida, i can tell you, things get more manageable and easier to do during the off-season. cheaper too!
@@companyoflosers my brother was actually wanting to go to Disney World and wanted to drag me along as a translator for him (we are from Brazil). the nightmarish idea of wandering in a completely packed park and waiting for hours to try a single ride meant that I would probably just leave him there, take a car ride to Kennedy Space Center, and be back before he even tried a single ride. but you say its more manageable off-season, you mean how manageable ? like 30 min lines instead of 2h ?

@@RachelDavis705 I went to the same park Matt and Shelby went to in July last year. So much waiting, and it was incredibly hot. The actual rides and park itself is really nice, but there are just too many people for it to handle when I went.
Shelby's toad impression was so good that my 3 yr old came over and watched the whole video with me 😂 he loves all things Mario.
Especially the cursing. Hahaha

@@BLY99 Islands of Adventure in Orlando is the perfect counter to this. When the park is dedicated to pure immersion, with genuine space to do thrill and open space for breathing room it’s perfect.
Not only is this just opened and has a massive influx of people, but it’s also forced to be a lot smaller because of the lack of space in the Hollywood park. They had to remove a Yoshi Dark ride that opened in Japan, and are likely not getting the Donkey Kong Coaster.
I get being hesitant of a stuffed park but don’t discard the merit of the park as a whole
Yeah like if it took maybe an hour and a half of waiting total for the entire experience I would find it worth it, but instead I just wanted to go to that Hogsmeade I didn't know existed.
As for the bracelet you should always report missing items to Guest Relastions as they are in charge of all lost and found after talking to the ride worker; you can also call them on the phone if you really want it back as you keep the points from touching all the blocks and riding the ride which outside of bragging rights it should also get you a prize at one of those shops unless they decided not to go with that promotion again I no longer work there since I moved out of California

@@RazielBR Japan is getting a donkey kong themed expansion though so it is kind of a matter of space. Hollywood just doesn't have the space and has nowhere near the amount of rides USF has.
Yeah, I was gonna say that; the review is amazing, but at the same time convince me that it 100% doesn’t seem worth the money to go to the park as it is at the moment

There's simply not enough space to put anything in there. Universal Studios Hollywood is kind of a garbage park, TBH. The only thing there worth checking out is the Jurassic Park ride, the studio tour and The Mummy ride.
Shelby is basically a pro voice actor at this point

from someone who used to work at Universal, all rides have express pass lanes, but when a ride is so new/just open, they dont allow fast pass access, bc idk why thats some big wig lame-o thing just to make people buy a pass they cant use for the ride they want ig. A lot of people would be mad about it, but they still do it. Ive also seen though where the "fast pass" line was so FULL that they regular line was just a walk onto the ride. so honestly just ask employees for shit and we can usually get you some access/free things you never know. just be a nice person to other people and nice things will happen lmao

The way that this is sooo accurate especially the outro is hilarious 😂 to get to Nintendo World you have to travel down like 5 sets of escalators so yeah that my face too lmao. I purchased the early access (gets you into the World before the park opens to the public) and even with that I waited 2.5 hours for Mario Kart because the TV screens had all shut down since it was raining and their cables were on the roof 🫠. You do need a bracelet to enjoy 90% of what that small land has to offer, the mini games were fun though! And yeah my bracelet kept slipping too, I had to keep slapping it closed. I also freaked out when I saw Mario, Luigi, and Peach! I couldn't help it!!! Toad's Cafe was 6/10 but I was happy to get a reservation. Would I go again? Absolutely. It's small but it made my little Mario heart happy 🥰 your review was spot on though, I was laughing a little too hard lol.
