- So the time has come to try my hand at scratch building a scale helicopter fuzz in 600 size.
The helicopter I have gone for is a civilian type I have wanted for a long time and that’s the Bell 429.
Building many warbirds and jets conventionally from materials such as balsa, ply and fibreglass, I cannot see any reason why the same methods can’t be put into practice building a scale helicopter fuselage, so here we go.
In what I’m guessing to be a series of at least 4 to 6 videos, I’m hoping it will build up to a good selection of informative videos to help others who might want too try a hand at scratch building, so with that, let’s get on with the first video.

Enjoy……
I like following you already. This is going to be a treat. I’ve built planes from a box of sticks, but never a Heli. I fly scale now and I have a very old (40+) years, “Shark” fiberglass fuse. Before I proceed with. Build, I was going to make a mold, as it’s probably the last one in existence. Anyway, looking forward to the build.
Thank you bud, I am also pretty pumped to see how this is going to come out. Unfortunately I’ve been extremely ill with my heart condition the past day or so but I’m determined to get back to it pretty quickly. I’ve just ordered a ton of fibreglass and a gallon of epoxy resin ready for it but I got a lot to do before then so fingers crossed it all pays off because if it does I will be doing it again.
Awesome... Gotta love building off a plan. Did an F-4 Phantom II many years ago and it was a long process.
Looking forward to watching you put this one together mate. Nice work!
Thanks bud
