You're absolutely welcome! Palm oil and Palm kernel oil, don't have the same fatty acid profile, so you'll need an entirely different formula, to use palm oil. To make it liquid soap, you'll have to use potassium hydroxide, rather than sodium hydroxide, in your soap.

Nothing extra was added. Palm kernel oil makes a hard bar of soap, because of its fatty acid profile. It's high in Lauric acid and has a good level of Myristic acid too. These saturated fatty acids, are responsible for adding hardness to soap.
It's always better to measure by weight in grams, rather than by volume in liters. So, get a scale, weigh out 1000g of PKO, 352g of water and 176g of caustic soda. These are your measurements. Make sure you use a good digital scale, then follow the steps in the video, to make your soap.

Those are just additives. Soap can be made without them, if you have the right recipe.
