Maybe if the RC world would have big payouts at races it would make a difference..never seen a racing industry that you pay to enter with zero money paid back to racers...should at minimum get entry fee paybacks if you make A mains. Tracks are making $10s of thousands every weekend and no money to win. Any weekend of the month you can enter a real car race for $50 bucks to win $3-10k. And usally only 100 cars at my dragstrip.

I do not believe RC tracks are making as much as you stated otherwise there would be more tracks. Second, you need to have sponsors with big pockets. TCR class in real world 1:1 racing does have $500 entry fee and while prizes are given out the cost barely covers the weekend of racing especially if you are in wreck or break an engine component. Only those who have sponsor on the side of the rheir car can at least cover costs.
There is way more money for e-sports than there is for RC Racing.

ngl, being a pro racer seems like a ton of work for not much money.

I love ya Ty, but you retired because nobody was willing to pay your asking price.

What was his asking price ? And he does have the accolades to back up his asking price ? I do think X-ray wasn’t the best idea…. But I don’t know I’m speculating at this point .
