      Why would you say something like that? If you, or any other haters had any idea how hard this shit was you'd feel stupid saying that. Do you have any idea the work and resources that go into improving habitat on a farm? This guy worked his ass off to buy this farm and the jealous butthole in the crowd accuses him of hunting a fenced farm. Unreal.

    That's very true...IF..a new water source is needed in a dry environment . If water is in abundance and deer have multiple places to drink from , then it's not a water source needed, it's food and safety and a place with low human pressure

    Learned the hard way that this doesn’t fly in Pa. My friend was hunting next to a creek, the deer had its front two feet in the water. The deer bent down to drink and my buddy fired. The game commission nailed him. Said, that because the front feet of the deer were in the water that the shot was illegal. Said , the deer was considered to be swimming or wading in the water. BS charge! The guy tried to fight it but no luck, it ended up sticking. The WCO said, he could write us all up for aiding him in the commission of a crime cause we were part of his hunting party. Long after the hearing we found out that the magistrates are not familiar with game laws at all and basically just go by what the WCO tells them. Chances are, if he’d taken it to a higher court he’d have won. He was happy though just paying the fine and getting to keep his license 🪪

    • @Noobish_Camper55
      @Noobish_Camper55 10 месяцев назад +39

      That is insane. Licensing in general for hunting is crazy since most of the land is private management, and the few public spots I know of just are gravel parking lots with a game trail. Wardens just like to harass people in my experience with minor violations to get more money out of the few hunters that still go out every year.

    Here in Michigan there’s so many different bodies of water , rivers and lakes and brooks and streams , there’s a water source every 100 ft in the woods .
    I have hunted public land my whole life and have been very successful over the last 45 years.
    Do your homework, look at topographical maps and study the lay of the land , find the food sources( farm fields , or natural resources like wild apple trees , oaks and acorns , brassicas and persimmons etc ) water sources , bedding areas , learn the movement of the deer and find the “bottlenecks /funnels” and “curtains” and ridges that they follow .
    Go the extra distance where most other people aren’t willing to go .
    Tread lightly , walk slow , keep the wind in front of you , stop look and listen , you’ll be surprised by how much more game you’ll encounter.

The game warden seen this after walking our property, flipped both of them over and left instructions for us to call him. We were told that since this wasn't a natural water source, it was considered baiting and was illegal. I live in Georgia and during this time, baiting was illegal. Baiting has now became legal in Georgia, so I don't know if the kid pool idea is still illegal. I'd suggest checking your state laws before implementing this idea. I would also suggest if it's legal, there's might be cheaper alternatives ( Plastic kids pool)

    All good for like 2 days, then the stagnant water becomes a breeding ground for bugs and bacteria, then the deer start getting EHD and dieing. (Do your research before taking advice from some rich guy who gives advice that will cause more damage than anything.) What happend to hunting anymore? All I see is a bunch of rich people baiting anymore and calling it hunting. That's not hunting and there is no sportsmanship in that. Traditional hunting is where it's at. Scout, track, pin point, plan, sit and wait, then execute. You get way more satisfaction out of it as well. Too many posers these days making a mockery of the sport.

    Seems no different than people having those corn spreaders. Idk. Doesn’t seem like hunting to me. More just monitoring the hole or corn. Doesn’t really give the animal a fair chance to get away. Thats why I’ve always preferred upland hunting. As you’re moving through the fields or woods, they hear you.

    Doesn’t work on my place. One side there is a major “creek” from a lake that releases water, the other side is a river. Nothing but trees between them. There are ponds scattered out for livestock. But water and cover is plentiful.

    This is kind of cool. Usually people always are putting food plots in which is good also. But if they're big food plots then you just have to pick the right spot where the deer are coming and going from it but a little water hole the deer have to be right in that spot

    I used a huge koi pond for a water hole. Its out in the sun and turns stagnate and green. I think its better to put the under tree cover so the shade is better.
