I did double refreshes only to farm all 3 of the Remnants (no packs during marquee event), and mine have all been R7 since double drops now. These packs have no real target demographic, IMO. Whales that may buy them, got them from marquee or shipments. Dolphins would have bought crystals for the double or even triple refreshes if they were short crystals to do so. The rest aren't going to spend this money on a single R1, especially since they aren't the ones keeping them from GL Tano, as you said.
You must have real Luck then, I have farmed Shin since it began available (plus double drops and 15 shots a day) and Im still at 5 and half stars lol I already have Morgan and Great Mothers at R7 I hate hard nodes

But yes, I as a consumer prefer when I get good value for money. From my perspective, offering products that are part of the same naming/visual scheme as something sold previously in a trend of worsening value is bad behaviour from a business. Would you not agree with the overall point that if this does well it encourages them to keep making it worse and/or more expensive?
Additional considerations: 1) Two included zetas due to receiving abilities at level 7. CG currently values these at about $20/per. So, for our math, we can, too. So, "add back" $20 to each pack. 2) Add back the crystals used on refreshes by farming the characters naturally. These still need to be spent. 3) Consider the potential conflict of resources (energy) once the other marquees have their nodes announced. Players may literally not have enough energy to refresh each marquee each day. This is kind of hard to calculate a value for, but keep it somewhere in the back of your mind. Aside from the fact that I am a whale, I was actually planning on picking these up. My roster was at a very weird point where I could have taken it many different directions, all of which would have been relatively costly. These showing up caused me to decide to just bite the bullet and whale on them and start the GLA grind. I need some of the energy I would have been spending on farming these to farm up bronziums and Kyrotechs anyhow, and I'll probably get 2-3 months of their AB's out of them since I'll taake them to R7 right away, as well as having a new annoying team to use in GAC and to knock out some conquest feats without cheese.
In theory whales could now gamble on one of those packs appearing for a future marquee and save themselves $140, because they are currently paying $200+ for a brand new character.
I think missing shard which use normal energy(yellow) or cantina energy(red) should also be considered. For example u missing 200 shards dash render. All node shard drop rate is about 1/3. 100 times drop on cantina 7E(16) is 4800 cantina energy that is 4000 crystal if use daliy 3 refresh.
I wonder if this is a way to get people who are whaling less to try and entice them to reconsider spending for the new characters. Other than that I don’t know who else would be buying them.
Honestly, I think $65 for a new character is good value for people who spend on new characters. However, I agree the timing is weird. It's too late for people who are spenders and going for Ahsoka. Additionally, without knowing if similar bundles will be available for other Ahsoka reqs, then it's not enough to get light spenders and those unsure if they're going for Ahsoka onboard.

Sabine and Hera would make it astronomically good value as those characters aren't even farmable right now. It would be about 10x better considering Hera today costs just shy of $300 and Sabine $160
What about the value of G12 and G12+ pieces? It is not in the datasheet. I have 3 of em at 6*. Death trooper will be 7* by time AB drops. All of em at g11+ bar 7* locked gears. I also value the G12 and + pieces as they can be diverted to other characters. If factoring those is it worth it
I don't typically factor those in. While they are a bottleneck for some people I don't want to overinflate the value of the packs for those who don't have issues with it
Can they really call a single character a bundle? My guess would be that they didn’t get as many people whaling on the shard draw packs as they’d hoped. Now they’re dangling something in front of the whales that at least guarantees the character at 7 stars.
The thing is these are not lightspeed bundles so the community is doing a disservice by calling them that. These are specifically GL rush and serves a very different purpose from LSB. This is not a good deal because it is whale food for rushing a gl unlock at launch whereas the LSB serves the purpose providing older chars to speed up old journeys. Different name and different purpose so lets keep that in mind. With that said these are terrible value but they are not and should not be considered the same as the previous ACTUAL lightspeed.
I just feel like this is targeted weirdly. 65$ is pricey enough that only people who are comfortable spending a lot of money on the game will buy, but those people have most likely already got Enoch and NT/DT. Especially people who are rushing ahsoka

It's not like CG isn't known for their habit of copy-pasting text. Repeatedly. Every LSB that we have gotten (before and after these if you really insist on putting them in the same category) actually had the words "Lightspeed Bundle" in their name. These are called something different. The characters in these are also only a few months old, whereas all the other ones are about helping player catch up on older content. The distinctions between these two different types of bundle is pretty clear to me. Now I do echo your sentiment about them as far as everything else is concerned, I just feel like calling them a LSB isn't accurate, at the risk of coming across as pedantic.

Unless they send you a physical copy of the character in a nice case so you can put it on the shelf with the rest of your collectibles, yeah it's the worst deal ever.....
For the love of God, DO NOT buy these P2W bundles. Buy some of New Blood Interactive or Nightdive Studios's games instead. They're much better value and have far more heart and passion put into them. Or, if you insist on staying on mobile, buy Terraria and/or Bloons TD 6. They can *both* provide hundreds, if not THOUSANDS OF hours of FUN! ^_^
65 for a single character only at lvl 1 is horrible. 50 for only 4 character for starkiller was horrible. 10 to 20 bucks for 5 to 20 characters? Sure if it actually helps you Not even Whales would buy this pack given they've already got these characters maxed out. They will make no money with these ridiculous packs
