    I was so glad to see your video come up! Yeah, wall cuts with a Dremel can be dicey, I've came so close to being electrocuted that I didn't even know it till I pulled the drywall down! And that's not what I did for a living, just for myself or helping out family members on their own homes. Loved the pics at the end to get a feel for the area. Those make things feel so much more real and you are good at doing it. I'd like to thank you for getting me turned back on to bees. I was about to go full on with them back in '99 when family, kid's needs, took over what I would be doing for the next 8 or 9 years. Watching all your videos during the pandemic has brought me back to something I wish I could have done all those years back. After much research on my areas weather patterns, I decided to use a different hive model though. I'm looking forward to the journey and have you to thank for relighting my smoker for bees. I feel like I know you and yet I've never met you, just proves you never know how much of an influence you can have on someone by the way you do things and put it out there. Thanks Randy!

    Home electrical is always interesting to work around. Pete should go by the electrical supply house and get some rubber gloves for when he is opening the wall. Also standing on a rubber mat like a welcome mat could help a lot. Many a time I had to grab bare hot wires as an electrician and as long as you are not grounded you are safe but give it somewhere to leave your body to ground and you will get bit. Of course the rubber gloves (real rubber) will keep it from getting into your body to start with. Just a thought.

    The way you hold the FLIR with your hand across the back; doesn’t your hand interfere with detecting the bees?

      The FLIR sensor is at the bottom plugged into the lightning port. The phone is just a screen for it.

    Why don't you use the thermal scope to find the studs? They showed up earlier when you were looking at the heat signature

      We do sometimes but we can usually find them easier by nails, screws or bumping the wall. Pete was just off his game on this one.

    I must be getting old. First I've had my Fein multi tool since before it was cool. The tool was originally made by Fein for removing casts. When I saw the cutting of the wall it took me all the way back to March 25th 2023 when I was cutting a hole in the wall. Albeit a must smaller one to install a wall outlet.
    Question: do you have your bee logo on a sticker that I could place on my smoker?

    I've yet to see a person get dead from 110 possible if ya got a weak heart if ya are standing or laying in water, but just grabin a bare wire with 110 na give ya a good scare ,now 220 that gets deeper it can mess with yer heart rythm but most of the time it'll shake ya loose before it bites, 440 and up bye bye, ya don't wanna get any closer to 14000 than beein on the ground and lookin up. Those power compny guys use fiber glass cranes and poles.

    Question: I am in Virginia and was told when setting up a bee box to put it in full sun because they like the heat but other beekeepers say keep the beehive in a shady place and/or sheltered in the winter. What’s your best advice for placement - full sun or half-shade?

    • @628DirtRooster
      @628DirtRooster  Год назад +1

      Depends but I prefer my to be in the shade in the heat of the day and catch full sun early or late. That's not necessarily how all mine are set up but that's what I like.

    How do you estimate for each job of bee wrangling? I mean, you can’t tell how big the hive is with just the FLAIR. Do you have a contingency outside of the construction project?
    Time is money, and I have watched 1000’s of hours of different bee wrangler’s video content and have determined outside of the construction project, you and others don’t know just how long it is going to take to remove a hive.
