Unleashing the M29 Weasel: The Ultimate Snowmobile Tank

The Allies proposed a special operation in Norway to cut off or delay the supply of raw materials to the German army, leading to the development of the M29 "Weasel" light snowmobile armored transport vehicle, which was used for various purposes during and after World War II. The M29 was relatively compact, had excellent maneuverability in snow and mud, and was used in combat in Europe, as well as in the Normandy landings and by polar exploration teams until 1993.

M28 and M29 were never armored. The two vehicles had different suspensions, but could carry as many as 4 people.
