BT Series Fast Tank: The Dual-Mode Weapon
The BT series fast tank, with its dual-use structure of wheels and tracks, was an important development in tank technology before World War II. However, the process of switching between track and tire driving modes was complex and time-consuming, and the tank's ability to run faster with broken tracks was mostly just a topic of interest for military enthusiasts, as it did not prove to be helpful in actual battles.
The dual-use structure of the BT series tank was a product of the constraints of tank technology at the time, but with the rapid advancement of tank technology during World War II, the dual-use structure became unnecessary and unreliable, and the tank's cool ability to run faster...

Terrible narrator. Terrible facts.
Awesome Video. I just love this tank. Just imagine a modern Drone versions with the 50 cal heavy mashinegun.
That looks like an RL cab on a MK body. Also the RL was replaced by the MK not the TK.
Who came here cause of Ian? 😁
AI Garbage yet again full of contradictions and inaccuracies
Only 8200 😂 Germany's whole output of tanks (all types tank destroyers, mobile artillery , recon vechicles etc was only just shy of 50000- 00 in total!
Well now self propelled artillery is only close to tanks in appearance, and if you talk about recon vehicles as tanks that would be the same as calling a fucking humvee a tank because it has a turret on top. Of course tanks can do recon, with many light tanks used in that role. Assault guns could have a point, germany did have a lot of them and some were very effective, but even still their production numbers were not even close to soviet, let alone allied totals.
Can someone make a 3d printable replica?
I love these videos about guns when who ever created it knows nothing about guns.
Wrong. LZ 114 was never suposed to bomb America
Seeing action right now in Ukraine 🤘.
From belgium;daar heb ik mee gereden in belgisch leger,lk vond 't de mooiste kamion ooit en als je ermee KON ryden was het n hele eer en belevenis in 1975
This video presents so much false information that it should be deleted! Comments and Corrections: (1) The L-5 was widely used in the European and Asian theaters as well as in the Pacific theater of war. (2) It was nicknamed "Flying Jeep", not "Air Jeep" (3) "This aircraft did not look handsome..." Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and many would disagree. (4) "... and did not appear on the front lines, so not many people knew about it" That is a completely FALSE statement! (5) The U.S. military took note of the Fieseler Storch in 1937 and initiated the development of a similar aircraft more than six months before the Sorch was demonstrated at the Cleveland Air Races. (6) The performance of the Stinson L-1 did NOT lag behind the German Fi-156 Storch. The reason why the L-2, L-3 and L-4 were adopted was low cost. The reason why the L-5 was adopted was better performance and stronger construction than those three types, and it was 1/3 the cost of an L-1. (7) The YO-54 was a stock civilian Stinson Model 10. While six were procured by the U.S. military in 1940 (not 1942), they were deemed unsuitable for Army liaison work during field testing and were thoroughly rejected. They had nothing at all to do with the development of the L-5 which first flew as the Stinson Model 76 in June 1941. THERE WAS NO CIVILIAN VERSION. (8) The L-5 has a conventional (tailwheel) landing gear, not a "tricycle" type that utilizes a nosewheel. (9) The ambulance version with the enlarged fuselage began production in June 1944 as the L-5B. All subsequent models (C, E, and G) were also ambulance versions. (10) The aircraft was powered by a Lycoming O-435, not an O-453. (11) There was no L-5A. It was a proposed variant that was never produced. (12) The maximum speed of the 185 hp L-5 in level flight is 205 kph, not 169, which is the normal cruising speed. The only subsequent model with more horsepower was the L-5G with 190 hp which did not have a faster climb rate or cruise speed. (13) The wingspan is 10.7 meters, not 10 meters. (14) The L-5 was not developed into a reconnaissance aircraft or a glider. Only a small number were equipped with skis and pontoons. (15) The L-5 and its variants were not used by the U.S. Navy until after WWII and it was not used for maritime patrols along the east coast of the United States. It did not participate in anti-submarine work and was not equipped with 100# bombs. The scriptwriter has confused the Stinson L-5 with the Stinson 10A Voyager - a completely different aircraft! The 10As used for coastal patrol did not sink any submarines (16) The L-5 was used extensively in the China-Burma-India theater (CBI) to support Chinese and British Commonwealth ground troops. not the Chinese Air Force, which effectively did not exist because it was destroyed by the Japanese before America entered the war. SUMMARY - EPIC FAIL!
Very informative, however many of the video clips are out of sync with the robot voice. ie. When talking about the RAF Mosquitto Tetsi, you are showing images of he naval 6 pounder mounting.

Антонов был гений.
Great design. Too bad it was never given the chance to prove itself.
What is old is New
CAC would have had more lucky getting a powerplant out of the Axis. The airframe was ready a long time before the war ended. The project was getting screwed around on the engine and that pushed things out until 1946 before it took to the air. Should have sacrificed a few of those Mustangs for the Merlin and Allison engines and got the CA15 into the air sooner.
M28 and M29 were never armored. The two vehicles had different suspensions, but could carry as many as 4 people.
I just got this on Warthunder and it is a shame that so many armoured vehicles of the Eastern Front are overlooked because they seem to have had many interesting designs. For a scouting role, this seems like a good choice though just two crew members means that is a hell of an overworked sod in the turret. Three man would have been better so someone could operate the radio while the commander directs the driver, preferably avoiding a fight.
Poorly researched production with mean factual inacuaseys. along with incorrect images . As far as I'm aware Germany did not produce any ant tank tungsten core ammunition during WW2 as this metal was in very sort supply and was restricted for use in machine tools
Edited by a two year old .
the QF 3.7" How also featured incremented rifling. So more spin, more accuracy, less range and no muzzle brake. The limited range wouldn't apply from mountain tops.
Not Sarac as Sarak but Šarac as SHARATZ
Very nice
Terrible video
As a farmer this is going to be my next tax right off. Need this to check my fences right right 😎
Please explain how an 8.8 cm (NOT "88 mm") KwK43 "had a larger calibre" than the 8.8 cm 'L/56 version equipped on the Tiger tank"? "With the maturity of the Soviet, five pair of road wheels the QF20 under gun eventually weakened a bit"! WTF is that supposed to mean? This is a shocking video. Absolutely appalling. And L7 WAS NOT "developed from the QF20 pounder": it was designed to use the same mountings to facilitate retrofit into existing tanks (i.e. Centurion).
2:13 tricycle landing gear is like the F 15 and F 16 this Aircraft has a Tail Dragger Landing gear. You have to focus on the details if you want trust because all of us know different things. So you must be accurate in all facts. Thank you very much….That is all…. On 😏🖖🏼🇺🇸
Cool
Sorry I wasted 5mins of my life listening to this!! 😢
Cool
Using f-words to cross trenches came from land management. They have been used to prevent river bank erosion for hundreds of years.
For those who know the roblox game Centaura this is the armored car used in Centaura for Antares also the corvus one is a austro hungarian Daimler armored car and cetan one is a Italian lancia 1z armored car with a different turret
Fuck your tax bureau!
FYI, they made less than 10 prototypes, of which 2-3 were non-firing mockups. They were never purchased by the military, never issued to troops, and never used in the War of Independence. They were also never sent anywhere else. All the examples are held by the Croatian MOD.
Looks like the dragon from perfect dark 😆
So this is the origin of the SEAL motorcycle/car combination?
Probably run out of money and other resources etc! Denel need to partner up with someone like BAE.
I should put the AA gun on a truck in stead. Speed instead of terrain mobility is more needed on the modern battlefield.
Ever seen most of Sweden? Most of Sweden is deep forests with brooks, rivers and mires everywhere. Very wet during springtime and autum (and many summers too) and easily up to a meter in snow (if not more) in the winter. Sure there are roads, and very good roads at that, but they are comparably few and the good roads will most likely be bombed to bits very quickly. Most roads in the very extensive road-network all over the country however are small and narrow back roads, often made out of dirt. It aint what most people drive cars on everyday but there are much more of these types of roads (often made for the forest industry or farm industry or are remnants of older roads) criss crossning the country side then good roads. Usually you do not want to drive more then 70km/h on these back roads so higher speeds is redundant, but they are perfect for hit-and-run-tactics with shoot-and-scoot missions just because they are just about everywhere. However they can often be very poorly maintained (or maintained when they are about to be used) and at times you can suddenly facing the fact that the springflood swept the road away and has not been fixed (because it is 30 years until the forest in that section of the endless woods shall be harvested, or what not). Or just a tree that have fallen over the road. Or a unplowed road in the middle of the winter. You will for certain get stuck with a truck in these conditions. However these articulated 6 wheelers are not only used as heavy haulers within construction and mining but this design was also used for a very long time for forwarders within the forest industry (the machines that fetch the timber the harvesters cut down and haul it, through roadless land, to the extraction point along a road somewhere where the timber trucks are able to load it up and transport it along roads to further processing) and can overcome most what is thrown at their wheels. It is a tried and tested design made to work in harsh conditions. However the main advantage of this design are their flexibility. They can easily go quite quickly by road, but they can also traverse roadless deep forest without any problems if that is nessecery, without any modifications. Sure you a bit faster in a truck if you drive on a big nice road (aka perfect conditions) but outside of that this articulated design is way better. And lets face it, war usually are not waged in perfect conditions, ever. Modern or not
Comet, Archer, Challenger, M10 and Sherman had the 17 pounder, I don't think Centurion made it to WW2, war ended beforehand. Just to be exact.
Some Centurions were sent to Germany just before the war ended but the Germans surrendered before they could be used in combat.
Archer and M10/Achilles were tank destroyers so technically not tanks (Archer didn’t have a turret) and were operated by the Royal Artillery not the Armoured Corps, Challenger and Firefly had to make many alterations to fit the 17 pndr, in the Firefly it was fitted on its side. In the Comet it was so altered that it was effectively a different gun.
Fun fact, the tridon was not on a similar 6x6 chassis as the archer prototype, it was the exact same vehicle, they just ripped the 40mm gun off it and added a FH-77B in the back
Made by Swedish steel for steel men...
Jesus, I wish you would learn to pronounce "anti-aircraft" correctly.....
I can imagine this along side an Archer would work great as an inti-drone protection for the Archer.
Great looking machine, but it's not a tank, could use these in Canada.
really stupid AI voice
