If you extended the skintone slider for it to have white with the jaw and lip movement sensitivity set to zero and a smilling expression you could make sans out of him

I'm pretty sure react bot will also be using an auto lipsync, noone animates 700 lines by hand. Just maybe it's got some extra animations for each line. You can easily go further and connect with openai's whisper api, then instead of speech files you can just have lines in a document.
I'm not sure I agree with your first point (though for subsequent lines that the user adds one imagines some lipsyncing is required, I'll have to give it a try for myself) - I think the character is too expressive for the animations to be automatically generated. There's one where ReactBot says something like "yas queen" that had a whole eye rolling thing going on that seemed a little too intentional. (edit just realised I misunderstood your point and actually I'm wrong - you're talking about the lipsyncing specifically and I misread. I will be perishing shortly) To your latter point, this is probably the case :) I wanted to keep a bit more with the spirit of the thing by doing the voice lines myself but one could probably make some variant of this that does as you suggest. One for someone else though, with ReactBot proper out I doubt I'll revisit this.
