I think Linda Thompson had nothing but a genuine love for Elvis, and she felt the same way about Elvis's little girl, Lisa Marie. Linda was very different from a lot of the women, Elvis dated, for one thing. She was born in Memphis, and was Southern, which made her a true lady. She and Elvis had the same family values, loved God, and knew exactly how to love people. Each time, I hear Linda talk about Elvis, she always has something nice to say about him and that is the way it should be. Too many women have exploited their relationships with Elvis, by writing books about him, and their romance with him. Linda waited forty years before she decided to write a memoir about her life. Her book in no way was mean to Elvis, his memory, or legacy. She also, wrote about Elvis in a very honest and loving way, the way that these kinds of books should be written. There was nothing fake about Linda. She was very real, grounded, and down to earth. One can't help but like her a lot.
