Yeah, 4060 Ti should had definitely performed like 3070 ti or a bit better to be worth it's price(and even then the vram for the 400 bucks version is a bit much).
@@masterlee1988 4060 TI costs only 430 bucks maximum, whereas the 3070 TI costs 2x more. 4060 TI uses 2x less power, heats less, has a better frequency and uses way better DLSS 3, which will grant 2 or 3x more FPS.
@@uhm294 DLSS3 is optional, not a standard as it's game dependent and has it's own issues, not to mention I don't rely on features like that when it comes to buying a gpu(or lower power consumption, though it's nice). It's specs are cut down(128 bit memory bus, seriously) and can struggle against 6700 XT, 6750 XT and 3070 in various games for some reasons while in other cases barely out performs the 3060 Ti in many cases and can't hang with the 6800 which is around it's price point. I'm not saying that 3070 Ti is worth it over the 4060 Ti if it's priced higher but considering the generational jump between gens it should had matched 3070 Ti performance(or be a tad better) to be worth it's 400 bucks price tag(and the upcoming 16GB version that will be 500 bucks). For my money I wouldn't buy a 400 bucks 8GB gpu today when there are better options that are cheaper or around it's price tag, and if I were to keep it for the next 4-5 years I rather go with a 12GB-16GB gpu personally since I game at 3440x1440. I was looking forward to the 4060 Ti and it disappointed me for certain reasons and it's no wonder it got trashed by reviewers on here. I plan to go with AMD this time and maybe go back to Nvidia later if they have something I want for 400-500 bucks gens from now.
@@masterlee1988 Understandable, you have great points. Even tho I would say that it's more similar to a 3070Ti than a 3070 from what I saw. The thing is that, for its price it's a great GPU. You won't find those 6800XT and 3070Ti or + that cheap, ratio quality/price is very good IMO. 6800XT costs 100+ more, and 3070Ti costs almost double its price. I'm not saying it's better than those GPUs, just that for its price it is the best.

@@jakelake-u1q 3070ti will give you about 10 more frames without frame gen so it's better by default you can use Lossless scaling frame gen on 3070ti anyway. If you are worrying about electricity bills then take 4060ti since it uses 100W less than rtx 3070ti. And i wouldn't be using frame gen in fps titles only third person games and only while using my gamepad otherwise input lag may feel weird since you have double the frame on the screen but your camera still reacts at like 60fps (or lower depending on the resolution)

@@CollynPlayz wdym garbage? It is arguably one of the best tech ever. You get free performance for almost no visual lost. It was rough during DLSS 1.0 & 2.0 days I agree, but now with 3.0 it has improved drastically. I could barely tell difference between native vs DLSS, although it also depends on implementation, like in Spider-Man I can easily notice a bit of shimmering, however in games like CP2077 or Hogwarts legacy it actually looks sharper and less jagginess.
@@Ragssssss I’ve used dlss 3 and it’s very noticeable even on the lowest level. Lots of shimmering and colors looking weird. I my self would prefer to get low frame rate or use an older low res monitor than use dlss

@tulp35000 correct, I've gone ahead with the Acer Nitro 5 with the 3070ti the main reason being it was the most affordable laptop with a QHD display and a great gpu, although I was planning on taking my laptop with me to France, the energy power bills over there have damn near quadrupled over the last year so I imagine for people already living there and play games for several hours a day they genuinely value power consumption
The 4060ti isn't a bad card, it has a bad price. Sure, the 3070ti gets like +10fps, but it consumes almost double the power, and the 4060ti has frame generation, AV1 encoding, produces less heat and has a bit better ray tracing efficiency. If it was cheaper it'd be worth it

Hot garbage for the money. Undervolt the 3070Ti and you will the exact same performance and you can pick up a 3070Ti cheaper than a 4060Ti. Doesn’t have more ram either. Both cards have 8GB.

I think it's also really important to note which manufacturer made the GPU you're using. There is a staggering difference between GPUs made by Nvidia, AMD, Intel, ASUS, GIGABYTE, ZOTAC, EVGA, & MSI. In the past certain manufacturers have used substandard materials to make the GPUs, especially during the semi-conductor shortage. Most notably is the RTX 3070 & 3070 ti. All have used substandard materials with the exception of GYGABYTE & EVGA.

But look at us in Eu, we 25% price higher than in USA, and in my country you add extra 10% on that since why not... Anyways, AMD 6750xt are around 500 eur here, for cheaper models. And 4060ti you can find bellow that or higher depending the model. Now, add in mind that 6750 uses 2x more watts and the 6800 uses 3 times more so you have a psu to buy too if you have something bellow 600watt. So there is that extra costs for some people. Not to mention that in cpu sector ADM is doing what intel was doing years back. Honestly everything costs too much, and prices are going just up and up. Its a sad reality. No company that is massive really cares about you, they just want your money.

You "Forgot" to turn motion blur off so this is not a proper test. This is not a representative of real performance. Actual gamers never use Motion Blur so you are showing inaccurate numbers.

I live off of 400 watts of solar which is the reason I got this card undervolted is crazy power efficient
My 3070ti uses ~140W under full load with my undervolt profile and i lose 3% performance compared to stock

Just saw the 16GB comparison against the same 4060 8gb card. The difference is not much at all.

I have a rtx 3070 ti and it is really fast and I can play in 4k without any difficulty.
The 4060 ti only sells the new technologies, because in terms of raw power the 3070 ti easily beats the 4060 ti.
