Using the Lite version of ableton has taught me that a simple setup can sound great. When recording stems for worship service I have to keep in mind that I can only have 6 tracks: Loop, Drums, Bass, Keys, Aux, Vocals. I can (and do mix) mix down groups of aux but I rarely use more than 4-5 instruments in a track (lead, bells, brass, and a layered synth or strings). I think we get too excited about plugins and try to make them fit in a track in order to justify the purchase.
I think that's the issue people don't know when to do things when needed vs doing it because someone else did it. Even if another person did it then there was a reason or they themselves was doing too much!!!! Sometimes with a billion vocals I end up lining them up with open gaps to kind of break down not having so many tracks then I bus/group them to make them out into a stereo spectrum. Thank you so much for your knowledge and as you said do when needed not just to do it.
whats the best DAW i can use on my windows pc to run Juice and use my moxf8 as midi controller . it would be bice if you can do a tutorial video on installing and running juice on windows pc
Man thats what I try and tell the youngaters, even with a daw and all the plugins, since I come from that era myself, I mean playing not a set but a bass drum, someone else with a snare, washboard, guitar and tamb., lol, these daws just have way too many options, lol. nbut for real, tho, learn how to use them, thanks for this J Mike
