I love how Arken puts torque specs right on their rings!

Very informative video. Step by step! i now don't feel intimidated to mount my own scope. I'm putting the Arken EP-5 on my new Bergara HMR B14.

Follow torque specs and make sure to level it.

good video but some things... using that level, keep checking back on the rifle level also. So scope level check then action level check, back and forth. Each movement you make quite possibly interrupts the initial set. So keep going back and forth. Dont take the cap off the elevation turret, it is level and bigger (easier to sit on)

Hi there. Great video. I completely agree with you that these scopes are amazing. I have the EPL 4-16. Love it. Arlen’s customer service as well 100%. A great company to deal with.
Just wondering which height rings you used for that 56mm bell? It doesn’t look like you have much clearance for the turret base and the rail.
I’m running Remington 700 dual bases with pretty much zero added moa, then medium halos on top of that. Gives me about 13mm of barrel clearance but this allows me to manually top load into my CZ 600 308 breach with ease. A trade off in clearance height for ability to rapid top load.
    What do you think?

I used the low rings. Here's the link: amzn.to/4gdFgAa I also used a rail as well which gave it a bit more height but it was not an elevated rail. A rail with those rings should give you clearance. You can see how close it is in the video.

Good video 👍🏻, I'm curious about your top cap torque spec. My Arken rings have 30 inch lbs engraved into the lower mount. Why the 18 inch lbs?

You want to base your torque spec off of what your scope can handle. The Arken can certainly handle higher torque but some can't. I use locktite on the screws and have never had an issue with anything coming loose. Base how tight you go on the scope, not the rings. You will get a sick feeling in your stomach if you look through a new very expensive scope and see spiderwebs. That's what can happen if you get them too tight.

What size rings do you have? I’m getting the arken shj4 scope with the arken halo rings. Will mount it on cva cascade xt. Thank ya for video. Not sure if I’ll mount my scope or get someone else.

thanks for your video. any opinions of using arken one piece mount instead of buying base and ring separately? The first choice may save around 100 bucks. I'm kind of concern on if I could go with arken one piece mount with 20MOA or area419 base + arken ring. Another question is that how could I verify if I need to use low ring or high ring? My build is cz 457 and arken EP5. I'm a newbie, sorry for these dumb questions.

Look at the specs of the rings and then look at the size of the objective lense of the scope. If the rings are less than half of the scope objective, they won't work. As far as one piece vs rings, that would be up to you and also if it would work.

you mount with a picatinny...why not a monopiece mount?

Those can work for some applications. for this gun and this scope, these rings are the best. The mount puts the scope slightly higher.

My first rifle I ever bought is this same remington in 2008 but in mossy oak camo Thing shoots 1/2moa. Question did you have any issues with the scope touching the rail. Like the little nipple under the scope or the magnification adjustment? I'm looking to do the same setup.

No, I just didn't show the unedited parts of the video. This covers the basics of getting one mounted.
