I had my suspicions during the fight while I was using base heathcliff, but it seems to appear in the video too: he doesn't speak any lines, but he does grunt in a "pained effort" kind of way when he uses skills (it was especially noticeable on base heath's Smackdown)
The only Sin I think Heathcliff had committed, was carrying unnecessary guilt for someone that didn't love him. He tortured himself for a woman that proudly admitted that she would never dream of marrying Heath just because he wasn't rich like Linton. That hurts man.
I have a feeling the chapter is called The Heartbreaking for a reason. What if she actually loved him. What if he misunderstood what she was trying to say or she was trying to act like that but in fact was happy to marry Heathcliff and live somewhere rich or poor with him. Doesn't make sense if she doesn't care about him but the moment he leaves she withers away. I could be wrong though, don't quote me on that haha.

It might be a perfectly acceptable maneuver for Catherine that doesn't associate marriage with any meaning deeper than convenience, but it is the most humiliating soul-crushing degradation for Heathcliff that views marriage as a precious oath. Heathcliff might not have heard her pitch of how much she loved him and that she is marrying Linton to have an affluent life for both of them, but I think he heard enough. Catherine dismissed marrying Heathcliff with laughter, they would both be destitute, Heathcliff can't give her anything and will only take away from her. What is that if not a slap to the face. Can you imagine Heathcliff having to live COMPETING with Linton for Catherine's time, what an insane and depressing situation that would be? How much hatred for himself, Linton and Catherine (responsible for the situation) would he have to endure? And that's while knowing that if he was a better man (the reason why he left the manor) Cathy would not have to create this ridiculous compromise and they would be married. He wouldn't stand a week before murdering Linton and probably being murdered by his butlers in turn. Whatever her intentions, Catherine fucked herself and Heathcliff over this marriage for interests. Zero Emotional intelligence, Heathcliff's misery is her fault.
I just realized, in the ending animation where Heathcliff beats the crap out of his double with Bodysack, every hit deals exactly 33 damage. I wonder if that's significant in any way?
There were a couple of hits that dealt 34 damage to round the total damage up to multiples of 100 too. Personally I don't think it's meant to be remarkable, the sin affinity changing to Wrath and the signs of corrosion are probably the focus here.

There is a problem though, We've seen Linton and Matthew (?) in the same scene. The other option, a Longshot to be fair but, What if it was Cathy?
Also I thought that Heathcliff 2 didn't make it into limbus company but apparently he did? so I'm thinking this is the mirror world in which Heathcliff 2 stayed with Cathy until she died and then made it into limbus company OR this Heathcliff 2 left Cathy (and also joined limbus) and then went to visit her earlier than our heathcliff but then got the news she died
