Hi, I found a battery with that dimensions : 106*35*29mm/4.17*1.38*1.14inch. Do you think it will fit I this model ? the only difference is length with 30mm more than the original one. And BTW, I found one batterie with 25C of discharge and an other one with 60c, which one will be better ? Thanks
You'll have to strap it in with a nice piece of velcro like i did if you go with a bigger than the tray size. Maybe 2 pieces to make it extra secure. Higher C rating means the electricity flows out better and it will have more punch at the start and you might squeeze out an extra KM or 2 faster at top speed. I listed a 3s battery in the video notes that fits the battery tray and is friendly on the wallet. Have fun and let me know how it goes!
Thanks Ruflasto! Too fast to keep on it's wheels. Probably need to take to an airport runway to get a chance to go full speed on 3s. Big thumbs up from me. Thanks for dropping by!
Hi what is the time taken to fully charge the stock battery with the stock charging cable? I tried charging mine with a 5V 2A charger for 5 hours but the green light still keeps blinking, wondering after how much charging time we would see a solid green light..? Thanks for sharing this 3S video!
Hey Amar. Good question. So the way it works is you have to look at the output of the charger. So it might be 1000mah or 1amp. It's good that you have it plugged into a phone charger with 2A but it will be bottlenecked to what the RC charger can output. Anyway say if the RC charger does 1000mah (1amp) and your battery is 1500mah... it should take around 1.5 hrs to charge it. When it's blinking like yours... probably means one of the 2 cells is behind and trickle charging to top off. It's possible one of the cells are not good and will never top off. It's part of the hobby and doesn't happen all the time but it's not uncommon for that. The better battery you buy (higher price) usually means better quality cells used. Hope that helps. It never hurts to buy extra batteries!
I'm happy with mine on 2s. I did the 3s test for the viewers. It does run on 3s but of course great chance on overheating and cooking the electronics. So people say it's bad and others are happy. Do what suits you! It's a great RC. For me 3s is too much power unless you do some modifications.
Hey David! You should see all the attempts I edited out of the video! lol. I think I might try some foam wheels and lower (shorter shocks) it if I'm going to try it again. Thanks for dropping by!
