One theory is that they are already getting engagement, and therefore no need to tempt players. They are already playing. Now, as things, most likely football comes to a conclusion, the books will need to throw some loss-leaders out there to get rec players to engage.
@@WhereDoesItRank ah interesting point. I always have viewed it opposite - better sports, better promos. But your theory makes sense. Worse sports - better promos, since players are less interested. Thanks for the comment. I’ll hold out for this optimism.
100% agree that the lesser books dont care to improve to the lvl of dk and fd and will ban ppl instead. I thought fanatics was a really above average book tho with great rewards and promos but i got promo banned and limited in 3 days.
I will throw some money down on the casino and do some small bet parlays on books im not limited at to make them potentially think im casual with adhd?
It is not the other books that are incompetent it is the players that are betting exclusively on FD and DK that are the incompetent ones. These two could not have dreamed this scenario when PASPA went bye-bye six years ago. The bigger they get the worse the prices will become as well. The easiest thing for a bettor to sharpen their pencil is to price shop. Getting a 1/2-point or less juice is easy and yet so many just disregard it because they just want some skin in the game. I have been a bookmaker in Vegas for nearly a decade and I have never considered Arbers to be super sharp. They are smart and taking advantage of a system that allows those with a good system to benefit, but I never fear them. If I see arbers on my screens it is because I wanted them to take that price and I needed it to balance my book. One thing I do not like in the industry is when some Heads of Trading want to just cut arbers at the knees. It is an overreaction just like cutting a sharp to $4.00. Great content and I am a subscriber now.
I tried arbing for a few weeks and the money was good but it got like 3 of my accounts completely nuked and is just a major pain in the ass. I’m EV all the way now and the variance is really the only downside. Now that I have a bankroll it doesn’t bother me as much
FanDuel has a offer in which it says join and win a 5 dollar bet and I get 250. I joined and the offer went away, do I still get it if I win my 5 dollar bet
What are your thoughts on "account health" for sportsbooks and being able to have higher limits for promos? FD and DK have been fairly stingy, but curious to know what goes into it
@@sachinbalkarran644 I think it’s possible to sustain an account by taking steps to save account health. But the line is shrinking as books are understanding who to limit. Everyone is going to experience limits differently, but I always say if you aren’t betting 80% parlay volume, your leash is short. That’s a very loose generalization, but it takes consistent and intentional effort to maintain limits. I’ve never disciplined enough to avoid a juicy arb 😭
I love your style and content
