I love it when Ruyi put Jia in her place just before the 'earring incident' and Hailan's look of "take THAT" the silent exchanges from HaiLan are sometimes more entertaining than her verbal ones. xD
I just realized suoxin called noble consort jia as jin yuyan. She hates her so much that she doesn't care enough to call her titles. She's justified for that though
Jia never hid her dislike from Ruyi because she assumed Ruyi would be an easy person to beat therefore not someone she needed to fear. Jia hid her dislike from Empress Fuca because she was Empress and if Jia showed her true colors then the Empress could easily destroy her nd throw her aside. Jia never knew Ruyis true strength
@@dihydrogenmonoxide7056 it also makes me wonder if the Jin clan King knew that Jia was an orphan and that's why he didnt reciprocate her feelings for him since her background was of humble birth and not noble
She wouldn’t dare be as bold with Fuca because the Empress sired almost as many children as her and her clan was very influential to Emperor’s politics. She probably felt more secure doing it to Ruyi because unlike Fuca, Ruyi didn’t have children of her own and she had no clan backing for Emperor. Ruyi’s support mostly came within the Central Palace (Consort Yu, Consort Chun, and the Mongolian consorts). By the time Ruyi took over the Central Palace, Jia only started to lose influence. She simply miscalculated being on the highs for so long. She was one of the smartest in the harem actually. If anything, she was up there with Ruyi and Consort Yu when it comes to brains. She only messed up because of stress after playing the game too hard for too long. She dealt with any possible threat that could be in her way or her sons’ ways. Meanwhile, Yu chose her battles wisely, focusing on her and Ruyi’s safety, and Ruyi only cared to fight with certain people only and knew when or with whom to let go.
@@AsianDudeOnline Honestly? I'm almost certain she wasn't of humble birth. Her being sent to the emperor gave the clan status more than just a prince. And I don't think they would have given her TO the emperor if she wasn't noble in case he found out. He likely just knew she was worth more to the clan away than with him and status was before all, even blood. And as it seems a lot of the men would swear to loving a woman, be SHOCKED if told he was cruel to her and then just use them as a bedwarmer, emotion soother and ego stroker. It would be love, but a hell of a twisted up one. Not that the western world is ALL the different at times. But sending a foundling and LYING about it to the emperor would be something that could cause their clan to be wiped out. Well. The lying part certainly would.
12:16 Let’s not forget this little cherry on the cake. Even Jia Guifei’s attendant Lixin got slapped as a warning to make sure her mistress didn’t make more mistakes by being told she had everything to lose if it happened again. 😈
If I were an empress, as the fiction said so, I will closed to Hailan, I might promote Hailan being Yu Guifei instead. But it's a fiction, right? Haha. Btw, Rongpei character was fierce.

「赠」与纯贵妃,礼尚往来之意;「赏」嘉贵妃,尊卑有别之意。
原来如此
所以之後海蘭說如懿做到寬嚴並濟,她安撫了純貴妃,彈壓了嘉貴妃

No respect for such people
Rongpei is a savage. Protecting ruyis name and attacking their enemies. Real ride or die.
I never understood why Jia was so open with her hatred towards Ruyi when she was able to hide her dislike for Empress Fuca lol Jia is not too bright

Rongpei is a legend!!! 😆
