I figure all that data is just holding back until you've earned the right to pull a good image from it! How do you earn this? I think a certain amount of suffering for pastime must be factored in there somewhere! :-)
I get exactly what you are saying and am sharing the same journey, as my equipment. software, computers and above al l experience improve, so do my techniques
I couldn’t agree more with the premise of this video. For me in the uk it’s been a terrible summer. Constant rain in July meant only 2 nights clear. August so far has been much better. I have also been trolling through my data from past couple years and reprocessing them. It’s a really great way to see the improvements made that can be used on future images! Hopefully winter will be kinder on the clear skies!
In the past, I was so focused on the next project that I never had time or energy to revisit old data. Now with this year's weather, many of us will have the time (unfortunately) and going back to old data both fills the time and is a fun way to demonstrate to yourself how your skills have grown! Ian - I am glad to hear that August has been kinder to you - I hope that continues! Our August has been a frustrating mix of sunny days with cloudy nights! Hoping that turns around as we go into September. With longer nights, September has been one of my most productive months - so I am hoping to get some capture time as we end our Summer. All the best, Pat
Great advice, it’s amazing how as you learn more over time it improves previous data.

Thanks! It is a remarkable evolution that can easily be shown by reprocessing old data!
