Not at all, Crystal. There are plenty of on-line resources (and in-person) to help you! If I can learn Irish as an adult and go on to become fluent (and earn a 3rd level degree in the language), then you can do it, too!
Her father is a native speaker of Irish from that island anyway; I have a friend from Connemara whose 1st language is Irish (she's learnt English at school and from tv), and indeed she says her English is influenced by American series and movies... the Irish people of her area speak Irish to each other.
Her mom was in another video and she speaks American English but is from Poland. So this little girl has taken the best from both of them. Nach iontach deas an cailín seo. Beidh sí ina réalt amach anseo. Togha na Gaeilge aici.
