The whole point of this arc is a critic from the author to humans' potential for malice. Showing that we can be worse than the ants which were supposed to be monsters. That's why the arc revolves around a dictartorship and characters like Netero and Gon die in a selfish way just for the sake of revenge/destroying the enemy. The word "shinka" can be translated both ways evolution/malice as a way to say that the king underestimated humanity's potential for evolutioning its malice. The ants didn't stand a chace as we are experts at making destruction weapons. As someone else said in a comment, the bomb used to kill Netero wasn't even a big one, there were way worse bombs.
What I f***ing adore about this is the fact that the entire arc performs this role reversal where it introduces the monsters and the humans, then progressively makes the monsters more human and the humans more monstrous. It starts by making something higher than humans and putting humans in the same position as the animals we eat every day; weaker, mote vulnerable, completely outclasses physically. ... But physicality isn't what got humans at the top of our food chain. Through war, tribalism, and hatred, we used our intellect to evolve and become some impossibly anchored at the top of the food chain that our sheer ingenuity has made us indomitable. No animal on the planet could ever hope to conquer us. If a rock or stick won't kill it we invent guns. If guns don't cut it, we invent bigger guns. If those don't cut it, we make bombs, then bigger bombers, then abstract and more economically reasonable versions of bombs. When the bombs make other humans too fearful, we tone them down for their sake and keep our nukes on standby just as a threat; a REMINDER of what we are capable of. Which leads to the most important line of this scene: These are CHEAP bombs designed for "small dictatorships". The Chimera Ants were NEVER a global threat. They could have been turned into a crater at any point, but the governments around the globe were trying to stay economically reasonable. It wasn't about a threat, it was about economics and politics at the end of the day. They literally could have pushed a button and stopped him at any time, and Meruem meanwhile went through a whole existential arc originally just wanting to conquer the world before taking the arrogant, far more patronizing position of making sure colonies of humans would "allowed" to thrive in a world controlled by Chimera Ants. And he only realized how foolish and stupid this was the moment Netero, in his final moments, laughed at him. Mureum realized that despite the situation and all the grandstanding, Netero was never taking him seriously even for a second. To Netero, it was just him challenging himself with one last battle. It was the rogue wolf killing villagers thinking it was the top of the food chain until the hunters with the guns came out.
Humans are the deadliest apex predator to ever stride on earth. Not because of strength, but intellect and the diversity there of. That simple adaptation elevated us on orders of magnitude beyond our closest intellectual competition that are obscene. We keep animals that see us as food for entertainment. The only way the animal kingdom can mess with us now is through infections and virus', but even then, our natural immunities aided with medicine have rendered many vanilla strains nothing more than a sore throat or runny nose. We have to MAKE pathogens more deadly through genetic modification in order for us to feel a natural fear again. That being said, your point of the roles being reversed is on full display here. Meruem is acting in accord with tenets of honorable single combat, a human conception, a fight to prove he can beat his opponent. However, Netero is here to remind him why humans are so dangerous, he is acting according to nature, a fight for victory at any cost. A fight using that intellect that makes us still magnitudes beyond comprehension above the ants. @@bruhbruh4635 Ironic you should say that, because this entire arc was meant to show how every single one of us humans is capable of doing unimaginable evil - in other words, how every human has a dark "shadow" self (read Carl Jung if you don't know what that is). And that "shadow" is a metaphor for our inner demons and hidden malice. While this entire theme I just talked about wasn't directly involved in this sequence, it was an overarching tone in the entire Ant arc.
Evolution might be right in certain point, but I still prefer the line "You know nothing of the bottomless malice within the human heart". If the nuke with such power can mass produce even by poor countries, imagine the amount of nuke human will have. Even if this nuke cannot kill Mereum, humans who hold grudge, fuel by hatred and malice will one day kill Mereum by any mean necessary.
Whats crazy is what happend there ended up killing not only the King but also the 2 royal gaurds. Netero did more then everyone thaught he was abel to do.
Whats insane is the line I was hoping they would react to they didnt. But the thing is YOU MISS IT. It just happens… Then you watch this again and notice it and it makes you think. The ants had established themselves as ruthless nuts. Little did they know humanity is professional at being cruel. Thats what humanity is…a killing machine. Only we would he able to create such insanity in terms of a weapon.
yeah just wanna comment on the "disclaimer" at the start of the video, its totally true. there's no point having more than 5 channels reacting because you just cant understand what anyones saying. good call
Because Zero Hand wasn't enough, Netero decided to bring out his final ace in the hole. It's known as Poor Man's Rose. To sum it up, it's basically an atomic bomb that will trigger once he kicks the bucket. And instead of the traditional mushroom cloud, we get a glowing rose.
I am really glad that even tho Meruem is so powerful. He's still stupid or not knowing enough or not matured enough to know all the malicious things and how evil humans can do. Or how can we as a humans species can go to a length when in desperate and on the brink of destruction.
Although the scene always goes hard, it doesn't feel right when they make netero say "evolution" instead of "malice". It just doesn't give you the same amount of chills in the spine
Well the furigana reads evolution and considering that they are talking about evolution I think it fits better. It's hard to make the double meaning clear in the anime so go with what fits better.
i love your little cut at the end, to anyone whos done actual editing what you showed looks like childs play and further more no one needs to support you in taking others content and compiling it. if you want to do it for the sake of liking and enjoying making the content thats fine and your choice however thats how it should stay you dont deserve a treat for going out of your way to compile something that wasnt asked for nor is yours.
Honestly glad that netero died because netero himself was more of a monster if netero felt like it I'm pretty sure he would think twice about killing anyone if it suits him
I have a question, why didn't they just straight up nuke the palace when they were raiding? Get zeno to join early to get his dragon on top of the palace and then drop the bomb before the selection , the height is far enough for them to not be affected
Civilian's death/ collateral damage. And don't forget the Social justice warriors. And the radiation poisoning. Nuke poisons the land, air, water, stone, etc for 150 years. Meruem and the Royal Guards died from the poison, yes? It will be there for the rest 150 years. Thats why real place like Chernobyl is off limit. There were radiation accidents in the past. While this entire theme I just talked about wasn't directly involved in this sequence, it was an overarching tone in the entire Ant arc.
@@sleipnirodin2881 kimchi and tofu are not dumb and are well aware on what’s happening. Netero literally looked like a demon there
When he said "you had me in checkmate from ths start" I got goosebumps
Fun Fact: Netero Power in his current age is only Half of 1/4 Power in his Prime Age
Not 1/4 but half of his power..
Fun fact, Hisokas bungee gum has both the properties of rubber and gum
@@ALIPEDITMLBB i think its stated to be about 40% of his prime power
Didn’t he say while killing some of the chimera ants that he felt that his power was returning?
That just like someone saying still got it in old age
i love the fact that its also a low budget bomb.
Meruem : "I am the most perfect, apex predator on the planet."
Human : (Laughs in nuke)
'You had me in checkmate from the start'
The one and only regret of mereum
Man, this is a really nice way to treat mashup reactions. Those bozos be stacking 50 people together and you can't hear SHIT.
Evolution means, the elimination of the weak by the strong. So this is perfect.
Meruem was but a chared husk of his torso when Pouf and Youpi found him. Given an hour, he poison would taken him
i agree that translation is way better
@@hamzashinwary4215 no it doesn't. Wtf.
Thanks for the video mate!
I love how the bomb is a rose shape like Genthru’s “little rose” ability in the Greed Island. Amazing foreshadowing.
Never seen an anime where bombs are actually deadlier than any sort of kamehameha or things like that. Awesome
Every time I hear the start of the outro with that guitar and "Asao Musabori.." I rethink of this
"king of the ant ,Meruim ... You understand nothing ..
About the humanity potential of evolution"
Shivers down my spine
The line "it is popular within small dictatorships" is just fucking terrifying. Just the idea of a nuke being "popular".
Hearing his voice reverberate made it a 100 times more Creepy
and to think that power that ended a superpowerful being in this anime... exist in real life..
Whats crazy is what happend there ended up killing not only the King but also the 2 royal gaurds.
Netero did more then everyone thaught he was abel to do.
Well technically yes
I know how it feels to edit bro. And good job on not giving up. Most people dont know the struggle of editing
finally , an old man who actually gets the jobs done before dying
Ants: We are creatures born from Malice and Evolution and are the rulers of this world
Humas: ha...ha...ha *You have only scratched the surface*
the first time i saw this my mind exploded like the bomb
You included most of my favourite reactors nice!!!
God editing between the reactions ❤️
Whats insane is the line I was hoping they would react to they didnt. But the thing is YOU MISS IT. It just happens…
Then you watch this again and notice it and it makes you think.
The ants had established themselves as ruthless nuts. Little did they know humanity is professional at being cruel. Thats what humanity is…a killing machine. Only we would he able to create such insanity in terms of a weapon.
The outro transition to the ending of that episode was so on-point.
When Netero says "Humanity has infinite evolutionary potential" it was play on words in Japanese that can be understood as " infinite evil or malice"
yeah just wanna comment on the "disclaimer" at the start of the video, its totally true. there's no point having more than 5 channels reacting because you just cant understand what anyones saying. good call
結局人間の欲が作り出した兵器がいちばん強い。ってのがいいよねw
This editing is gonna give me a aneurysm flash warning hollly
“Yeaahh he sold his soul to the devil!!”
💀
Shit made me cringe
2:02 meruem and the crews had the same reaction
Netero had class made sure to provide a flower for their shared funeral
1:36 netero showed the king the real and most terrifying reality, Human is the only and true monster in this world
"Sold his soul to the devil" lol imagine them reading that complicated ark in the manga
If Netero used this in public it could've started an pandemic
Because Zero Hand wasn't enough, Netero decided to bring out his final ace in the hole. It's known as Poor Man's Rose. To sum it up, it's basically an atomic bomb that will trigger once he kicks the bucket. And instead of the traditional mushroom cloud, we get a glowing rose.
The words of netero really scared the shit out of me 💀
So glad you added the best reaction channels lol
The fact that a low-budget nuke was used... almost made it sound like nukes could be made with like $100 😂
0:34 "No way is he turning into double now" LOOL
imagine if netero got double. no single creature can defeat him. even merum.
Chairman Netero takes the sentence, "Human Bomb." way much further.
I remember when I watched this episode in 2020 I was so creeped out 😂
Imagine netero eating in his house and choked to death..lmao
Amazing editing!!!
Nice you literally included the best reaction channels (imo)
ミニチュアローズのモチーフは核兵器なんだけれども。ミニチュアローズの説明してるシーンの反応もみてみたい
“No way is he turn into the devil now?” …
nicely cut together
OMG
HXH is best anime I have seen it
Welp nothing can outsmart a nuke
2:36 All Mighty Push!
Yoo i watch all of these reactors nice
This proved that the chimera ants were no more than ants and humans weren’t even really trying
人間の力が1番強い というメッセージ
A message that human power is strong.
2:22 sold his soul to the devil?😐
Lol
I am really glad that even tho Meruem is so powerful. He's still stupid or not knowing enough or not matured enough to know all the malicious things and how evil humans can do. Or how can we as a humans species can go to a length when in desperate and on the brink of destruction.
truly a hunter finishing his job at all cost
Netero has to kill 25 people to get that nuke.
Finally I found a channel that gives reaction mashup perfectly...cause in every other videos are just people talking all together makeing it a mess
It was not his face that merium got scared of it was his words.
Netero such a hype char.
Ants were lucky they had thousands of people hostage otherwise they would have got nuked the fuck out.
The Emperor protects...
the reactors: 👁️👄👁️
Although the scene always goes hard, it doesn't feel right when they make netero say "evolution" instead of "malice". It just doesn't give you the same amount of chills in the spine
Well the furigana reads evolution and considering that they are talking about evolution I think it fits better. It's hard to make the double meaning clear in the anime so go with what fits better.
no one
absolutely no one
the girl: is he turning to the devil 😂😂😂 he sold his soul to the devil 😂😂😂
I agree the girl in the bottom right is annoying asf
i love your little cut at the end, to anyone whos done actual editing what you showed looks like childs play and further more no one needs to support you in taking others content and compiling it. if you want to do it for the sake of liking and enjoying making the content thats fine and your choice however thats how it should stay you dont deserve a treat for going out of your way to compile something that wasnt asked for nor is yours.
Yeah thank you by the way for using a spoiler as the video title, great idea. 😂
Honestly glad that netero died because netero himself was more of a monster if netero felt like it I'm pretty sure he would think twice about killing anyone if it suits him
togashi is a genius
Final boss- Satan netero
Nooooo i was scrolling down my page and i found this while I'm 4 episodes behing this fight i really want to ki.ll my self
This is an interesting editing software? Can it Multi-Sequence like Premiere Pro?
The land is poisoned.
1:35 "it was the first time the king had felt fear before" random ass weeb: "ahh no, he felt it before" just wow lol
1:45 the guy on the left :0
Imagine if Netero won but when He left and continue living, He forget about the Bomb and died somewhere with many People around... 😂😂😂😂
I mean... How can you forget that a bomb is inside your body
You would always think about it.
My complain with the sub is that instead of evolution it was originally malice what Netero said, but damm yhe scene is top tier
