The back round story and the explanation of what you're doing and where you're going is fantastic you really put the me into your footsteps. Also the fish your catching are so cool and how you're doing it is even cooler. Not many people can dive 100ft down then pull up 40 pound kingfish swimming at 30 mph. Overall your videos are great and it bring me great joy to see you're coming out with more. If you can get your videos out there and consistently produce high quality videos I can see you becoming a bug youtuber and to potentially having a career. Great work!!!!
Thanks Thomas, I am glad you enjoy the content. But I have yet to shoot any fish at 100ft as of yet. The deepest I usually shoot a fish is a little bit under 80ft. I'll work to start getting out the rest of the episodes, should be around 27 more from my around the world tour. Cheers buddy.

at about 13 min, you have the kingi side on. If it shakes its head you could get head butted. l had a 27kg kingi do that once, its dangerous! I don't have them side on since... maybe a thought to be considered?

@@Andy_M986 A break away system is much easier to pull in because of the thicker line and it's attached to a float. Also this allows me to use my gun to just film and not worry about it all getting taken away if I spear something too big or a shark takes my fish.

How long did it take you to learn how to freedive?
I did a bit of it when I was a kid, so some of it came natural. But anyone can learn in a couple of weeks with a good teacher.

Thanks Deon, yes I usually use a break-away setup. If something happens, I don't risk loosing my gun or camera.

Nothing really special about it. Any dive shop could help you get the right weights per your suit and body weight.

Is there such a thing as a reel on a spear gun,so you can reel it in?,if not,why not?.
There is and I have one attached to mine. But for many reasons, I prefer to use a breakaway system when in open water chasing bigger fish.
