Mate, you've sure got a pair off oversized tempered steel ones, and humble, and generous with the results of your efforts, Salute from an old spearo from Aotearoa who didn't own a GoPro.
Dan! That was theeeee most exhilarating RUclips video I have ever seen! You’re story telling and the footage is amazing, the epic music and editing, and just the epic battle between man and beast, that so so so freaking rad, sharing this with all of my dive buddies and my brother. Holy moly Dan well done you’re inspiring!
@@Adventureman_Dan we are already planning our first kayak trip, a one day trip going around 10 miles along side the island of Kauai. I live over here in Hawaii and my brother and both of my friends we’re all learning how to dive. We’re all starting to push just around 50ft and trying to slowly extend our bottom times. The last three dives we have been calling in UKU(green job fish) and both times we have had the opportunity for a shot our guns have jammed 😂 on top of that we keep getting sharked out. That’s a big learning curve just being comfortable protecting our catch from sharks. Anyways thank you for the awesome video, I heard about you from the noob spearo podcast.
Holy.. One of the best spearfishing videos I have ever seen.. It's inspiresional, It makes you feel free and alive. Good job man keep doing what you love, you are the best.
WICKED vid bro! loved the epic battle with the kingi and the suprise visit from the bronzie. hope you enjoyed your time here in nz. we are blessed to call this place home. and you have shown people how natural and native nz still is. look forward to the next ep.
Hello Adventureman Dan, I am impressed with the way you edit your videos, as this is an important record of your achievements and your sharing given to those who have aided your participation in all the foreign regions that you have fished in. Not often does one meet the do-gooding person that he really is. Thank you for being true to all those that have aided you and your many recorded videos. This type of lifestyle is available to the young fit well-intentioned persons such as your good self. Later in your life, this youthful pursuit can readily become a documentary (recall your excellent editing skills) but mostly a fine record of your endeavors as a young adventure-man Dan. Great efforts and results Dan. Old William.
That’s my home town , it’s good that the people who gather it’s resources share it with the locals , there will always be elders from the area waiting for some fresh fish to be dropped off , keep up the good vids 🤙🏽
Amazing video. Absolutely beautiful thank you for taking us on your adventures, I’m a kiwi living in Aussie and this just makes me want to move home. I miss living off the land
Surely one of the most extraordinary videos I've seen for the year. Takes a whole lot of balls to do what you do. Keep it up. Can't wait to see more. 🙏
greatest spearfishing vid out there and the yellowtail tops it off. A big one like that is on my bucket list. very inspirational , intense and calming at the same time. Keep up the good work
Wow!!! The first spearfishing video I've seen and it's amazingly breathtaking. Editing, music, quality, narration, everything just solidly awesome. Cheers bro!!!
Amazing trip and spearfishing adventure! Thanks for sharing this! I can't wait to go back to NZ..didn't spearfish at the time, but got introduced by locals to rock fishing for King and Snapper and had the time of my fishing life.
Dan the Man! Awesome watch bro top marks, NZ born and breed myself. Good to have a humble dude like your self, enjoy & respect this majestic country. Also sharing your catch with the locals is the kiwi way, looking forward to ep3. ps; Crayfish 'Kaura' not Lobster ;) :D
What a great video Dan, and that kingfish you shared on Coromandel (the first one) was absolutely delicious. Thanks for that! I will buy a speargun today and will give it a go in Italy. Thanks for the inspiration. Keep up the good work! Greetings from the german guy from that Coromandel Camp ground (big blond guy in the background of that group pic)
Hey buddy thanks, I'm happy I could share a little bit of the ocean with you. Awesome to hear you are going to head out and tackle the Med. Be careful, and have fun.
Dugga Boy nope I never recalled writing that. Don’t put things in my mouth bud. but it certainly does help if you don’t panic and fight with the ocean. A calm and collected mind will help you survive. I grew up in the islands everyday going out to the ocean. Accidents happen but being uncomfortable and panicking will not help you.
That was exciting, you have bigger kahunas than me! I'm from NZ and visited all those areas in a campervan, but I'd never have the stones to jump in there and fight off sharks. Nice catch.
Keep at it. You can practice to increase your dive time. Or if you got a few hundred bucks I seen some people use these small breathing devices that give you like 10 minutes. Not sure how they refill them though for more dives.
I applaud your adventurous spirit and share your passion for exploring new places. You might consider the long term impact of exposing dive spots for the short term benefit of self promotion. It's a small world and it's getting smaller thanks to the internet. Nice job landing that fish.
Thank you Nathan. Understand that I make these video describing and showing respect for the ocean. Rather than a montage killing spree. Hopefully that message will get through to the viewers.Cheers
I’m with first comment, respect the areas and locals!both very important, though you may respect bag limits and the area doesn’t mean all will. You can still show your exploits without maps.if you did that in certain areas and people found out, well good luck and I wouldn’t argue.
Only came across this video today, but truly enjoyed it! Great video, and awesome job on catching that fish! The more I see of spearfishing, the more tempting it becomes, it seems.
