Have you ever tried adding buttons on those extra unused slots? Would it be possible to get 2 extra buttons per player with the default PCB + MDE(patch)?
@@TechicallyTNT thank you. That saves me the effort of trying it myself lol. I followed your guide, but added additional action buttons and it worked perfectly.
i have a questtion what if i did all of this and insted of puting the buttons on the coin button area what if i drilled a hole on the controll deck and give each player a 3 rd action button would i be able to play X-men the arcade game with the JUMP /ATTACK/ MUTANT powers or no ???
I'd love a third action button but Retroarch with Team Encoder MDE won't hold the button configurations I keep inputting (and saving). If I can't figure that out I'm not sure soldering is going to be worth it. TNT, do your 4 players all stay in correct order? I'm aware this is a problem with Retroarch at large. The A1up work around for SF2 Yoga Flame seems to handle this issue better in my experience as it mimics a single keyboard encoder as opposed to four.
I've not had that issue. When I set mine up everything stays saved. The only issue I seem to have is the player positions changing based on what controller I use first. I always grab player 2 first and RetroArch sees it as player one.
I've experienced that phenomenon as well. I may try Mame4droid for non trackball games to isolate the controller switching to a RA problem. I just want to know I can trust MDE's results before drilling the control panel. @@TechicallyTNT
Great video 🙇

@@kingpotato42 I have not, AND was told that someone in the community did check them, and I was told they do nothing.

A lot has changed since. Wonder if you could do an update to soft mod with latest apks
I am working on that now.
U can power the light from the usb port
You could YES... BUT with my power setup I can't, and I don't like powering anything directly from that port. That Low Batt Bug...
