Hello! Southeast Asian here. In SEA, it's considered a rich person's privilege to have braces, since few people usually afford it. So, some people wear fake ones just to "bling/bedazzle" the teeth, like the "grills" in the USA hahaha It's weird I know but I've seen shops that sell these with that purpose

@angstbringer2992 the bracket part is probably loose so the wire can pass through them without actually pulling, and you just use a light non-toxic glue to hold them on for maybe a few hours at a time
@@angstbringer2992its similar to higher end vampire teeth in cosplay communities, non toxic glue it applied to the brackets (which are like beads on a string and no actual pressure is applied to the teeth) and it stays for around a day at most. The only problems would be if you used the wrong glue or accidentally swallowed a bracket (a “do not eat while wearing” and what glue to use are both stated on the packaging)

So I don't think her customers expect their teeth to be corrected by them anymore than a person expects to see better with fashion eyeglasses. i worked with a guy for almost 3 years, he wore glasses everyday. i forgot how, but i found out that they weren't perscription, they were basically dollar store reading glasses. when i asked why he faked wearing glasses, his response was "they make me look smarter" lol
Even if it is not for treatment, when you put something artificial on your teeth it will lower your hygiene drastically, self cleansing areas will not be self cleansing anymore. Bacteria build up, scratches on tooth surfaces and on soft tissues, left over glue on hard to reach areas and uncontrolled movement of teeth can become problems in the future. There will always be an effect
It's just a trend. You can just "stick" them onto to your back molar with a little bit of wax. People who never wore braces, want to know what it feels like to wear braces. Every time I see this case I can't help but cry my eyes out, because I had a horrible father who traumatized me and mi siblings, and my mom, FOR LIFE. He did, in fact, SA'd me, but he just overall 4bus3d me in every single way possible to the point where I still suffer from a very strong ptsd. And seeing Daniel being such a good father just breaks my heart, I would have given it all to have a father like him, even for just a second, to experience the love and protection of a father. And I can't believe she did that to him, I can't deal with it. Life is so unfair, she didn't deserved him.

I think they’d be ok as a temporary movie or cosplay prop, depending on how safe the glue actually is. Also, if they’re meant to be temporarily for a momentary illusion, you’d need the glue to actually be weaker and probably not the kind you’d cure, in order to be able to get them back off again. I still wouldn’t actually recommend for more than a cosplay shoot though because I do remember my braces cutting the inside of my mouth to absolute shreds, just being in my mouth for so long, if I didn’t cover then in wax or something.

Yep i was a dental assistant in an Ortho office and that's crazy people are selling things like that 😮 plus you literally have to know what position the bracket needs to be on the tooth to move it the way it needs to be. On top of that all the other little things that goes with braces 🤦
No Doc, I suppose these things are only for aesthetic purpose, they doesn't really move the teeth. I know it sounds strange, but for example in Japan ,colored fake braces are weared as a fashion accessory. I think the only concerning think would be the glue that maybe can do some damage, and I really doubt it is the same glue you would use on your patients.

They can also shift the teeth wrongly and also if you have and over bite/under bite it can cure it
