Thanks for the detailed assembly instructions and tips. As always I am amazed by the functionality you build into these kits. Do you have a RUclips video to recommend that tells how to paint grips to look like wood? That is one thing I can never get right. Also, pictures show a dark antiquing in the grooves of the cylinder that require some painting techniques that I need to learn so any video recommendations there?
For highlighting the groves and details, you can use regular tube acrylic paint, take some and rub it in with a cloth, and then rub it back off with a slightly damn cloth. Since it's water-based paint, most of all of it will come off on the high areas and stay behind in the low areas. Even after it dries, you can still use a wet cloth to remove more. When you're done, just spray a clear coat over the whole thing to seal it.
As far as wood grain, just search here on RUclips for wood grain on Props. There's tons f videos doing it all in different ways. Just pic the way that you want to do it and have fun:)
That rubber hose was the Achilles heal of the kit for me. I need to replace the original. Where did you get that tubing from? Its not water drip system tubing. Walking around Home Depot so far I have not found an equivalent.
What a great kit!!
Don't worry about the seam, since real guns have seams like that to take them apart it just makes it look real.
I completely agree!:)
It's looks so gooddddddd

No, it's 4mm rubber cord, tubing. It's either the tubing or metal braided wire so that it bends like it's supposed to.
