A couple months ago, I had a fight with a friend I considered family. We both thought of each other as family. Then I said something horribly wrong and I had a fight and I cannot express how much this sounds like the message that the friend sent. The message opened my eyes and it was good, but it hurt so much coming from that friend. It took me nearly 2 months to get over, and this song reminds me so much of that

When you find the reason you needed to hear it from them just as it happened, that bleak time will have suddenly seemingly always been the celebration it was meant to be. 🥲👊 There is an intelligence in nature, call it God or whatever you want, it exists, and if you give it a chance to, it will remind you why you came to his place in glaring and unmistakable ways. Nobody believes it is real, trust me I know the feeling and can empathize. This entity, it is lonely and scared because we are ignoring its pleas as we proceed to torture and murder it. Religion taught us all to fear God and explained quite elegantly why we should, then it ensured that your understanding would always to some degree or another filter through the trap their cult becomes. Religion taught you to distrust and to forfeit believe in God, it taught you to forfeit responsibility altogether and just pretend. You can go ahead and lie about everything, who would enforce any rules to that effect? Religion has trained you to reject belief in anything even vaguely resembling the poison they have effectively made of themselves. This is because modern religion, particularly Christianity, is here to kill God. That is why it is doing just that. You might think they do this for the sake of greed, to ensure business as usual persists.. but no. You'd have to be dig in quite a ways deeper than that to recall that these people invented money for the purpose of masking their endeavor and purchasing your agency. Everything we know about this system as it stands was situated by this cult for the express purpose of ensuring they are afforded the time and resources necessary to assassinate Creation.
This song is pretty rough. I am almost certain that most everyone else is falling far short of actually grasping the depth and profundity of this very clearly simple yet intensely impressive piece of art. I just.. I don't expect that anybody else would have it in them to remain in the world and life you'd have to be living in to catch sight of what she is saying here from my distant and perhaps unique personal perspective. It is terribly sad.
They need to do a trio with Hayley Williams of Paramore and Amy Lee of Evanescence. It would be so lit. Ariel's vocals perfectly match theirs. Loving this album!
