This song aged like fine wine. I remember hearing this when it dropped. Good memories ✌
Came out during my first big break-up... Tim has really good timing, that's happened several times with Rancid and his side projects.
I was in high-school
This shit was like a chateau Margaux as soon as it dropped. All time right here...the entire album.
Same
😭😭😭 wish I could go back into these days driving with my dad to Seattle to see my aunt and we would listen to rancid and Tim Armstrong
I would like the first 7 words to be my alarm clock!! "Wake up, you son of a bitch". That would suit me just fine :)
nickbagelboy that’s my alarm
I got this album soon as it came out ,I was 17 I played it so much I got everyone of my friends in to it now this song reminds them of me Haha love this song I later wen on to get the vinyl 15 years after the album 1st come out still highly rate it
Wake up
You son of a bitch
I wanna know who your with and
Why do you roll in and out
At like six in the morning?
I say
Wake up
My love of mine
Why do u spend your time
With these guys who don't love you
The way that I do
This time things gonna be changin'
Start a new
Rearranging
I got a new
Girl i'm seein'
Just like the last one, jus' like the first one.
Live for today
Not tomorrow
Keep movin' away from sorrow
Ain't one to beg or borrow
So listen to me
[Chorus]
Phone call
No mistakin'
She starts
Her head shakin'
Eyes open
Now i'm awake and
I'm gonna take it day by day now
Gettin' high
Good times rollin'
On the side
Cities showin'
Off somewhere new
To be goin'
So keep movin'
Fuck that shit. This record is helping me through the hardest time of my life right now. Tim is a genius who can write music and make a person feel like he's writing a song about them.
Been bumping this ever since it was out. Always seemed to cheer me up when I'm feeling down. Faded and buzzing....been a mood for a while😑
Yeah
Oh wake up

It's " I wanna know who you're with and..." I believe ? I'm not english-speaking though, so my guess can be a rubbish
the best song writer of his generation hands down.
Matt Jack lol what?
You should check out Eyedea, he was around for the start, then he od'ed like a puss, eyedea was easily the best song writer of the 90's
@@arsonistoitx lol
Eyedea is a pussy yes
No sorry. Tony Sly all the way
The Aggrolites are groovin!
Hearing them with Tim is amazing.
Just heard this song for the first time on spotify and was like "did he just mention aggrolites?!" love them, and Tim Armstrong had such a unique voice, recognised him straight away.
I love this song, the whole record is beautiful.

This will NEVVAH GET OLD IT'S 2022 NOW & I STILL BE BUMPIN'
ima listening in Tacoma right now 2020... i lived in Seattle, Bham, all over Wash state.. Go Greeners!!!! Stay Lit!!. 💨💨🔥😎
I'm moving to Tacoma in like a month as long as corona hasn't taken a turn for the worst by then, coming from Ohio. The PNW is truly a beautiful place 🤙
Greetings from former Bellingham now Arlington
I had a dream the other night that I was skanking by myself in an alleyway, to the music that came from the speakers that were keeping the back door of the bar open. That way the door wouldn't slam shut, interrupting the vibe of the live show each time some asshole needed to get their nicotine fix; or by the looks of the joint, narcotic fix to boot; and they could still enjoy the music-because that's what brought most folks to this particular place. Live shows worth coming out for are few & far between these parts. I remember that I stayed outside to avoid running into pretty much everyone who would be inside. I was there for the music after all, not the confrontation. Those were the old days. I stood with my eyes closed, head down, pushed against the wall, so my long, hanging hair would act like curtains of invisibility. I could here the muffles of self righteous smokers, judging me, having a laugh amongst themselves, as though they knew my story, or had the right to even try to understand. The more their gossip spread like black cancer, and hate, the more I was reminded of why I was in that dark, back alley with my head pushing harder against the stone wall. Finally it was nothing but darkness, and the sound of brass horns in my ears, followed by the freedom of my elbows in the air, without a single care. It was almost like I was 17 in that moment again. Almost.
Then I woke up.
antinazi for ever!!

i remember buying this album (remember CDs lol?) the day it came out way back in 2007... i was a happy 26 year old and still love it!
I bought this CD as a 15 year old and a huge Rancid fan. This album got me through my first silly breakups as a teenager 😂 Love this album
You say remember CDs and all I can think is that I’ve recently purchased vinyl. I also restore antique phonographs. That being said, I’m using USBs and Bluetooth to jan out on my car and have Bluetooth speakers all over the house , except where I have my record player
The album to my high school years, 2005-2009. These songs will always bring back great memories. Thank you Tim.
Hey! That’s my hs years too.
hell yeah good years and good jams lol
Man, back when Seattle was fun
beautiful song,
! makes me wanne sit in the park listening to ska with some friends while smoking weed and drinking booze :)
Brody really did a number on Tim damn
Wanna have this tune on my phone when I wake up.
Trust me it gets old I had it as my alarm for ages don't ruin the song for your self aha
beautiful song. Tim Armstrong is one of the best punk songwriters of all time.
If he plays it, I want to hear it ✌✌
Tim, datang la Malaysia , buat gig kat KL City .. teringin nak nengok engko nyanyi sambil petik gitar dok..
I just recently got into Rancid and they are so good. Thanks Sean - I appreciate it! This song is awesome!
This may not be popular but thinking back to when David Bowie and Iggy Pop collaborated I'm thinking Pete Doherty(Libertines,Babyshambles, Solo album) and Tim Armstrong should make an album together. Tim and Pete are both free spirits(Libertine/Punk),great writers, and guitar players. I would buy that album in a NY second if they made one.

Tim Armstrong rocks
so true!
he hella does
Its new reggae or rather skinhead reggae. Reggae came out of ska, and is considered by some to be the same thing, even to some originators (see Toots and the Maytals). Skinhead reggae can sound like Dub because it has a rough sound and often incorporates elements such as echo, reverb, and so on.

DE LO MEJOR
I wish i could grow a beard. I get two hairs i. Front of my ear.
How bout now??? You Paul Bunyan yet
@dylanghost ah! yeah of course...you know all about mods and skinheads better than a skinhead...... Mods were working class kids who spend their hard earn money into sharp clothes. That's why they looked like that. And some mods became skinheads because they were hanging out with rude boys and because other mods became hippies. Before saying shit....read a bit and inform yourself.
CHORUS:Wake up
You son of a bitch
I wanna know who youre with and
Why do you roll in and out
At like six in the morning?
Great stuff from the legend himself
to all the arguements of mods, skins, hippies, and rude boys:
out of all the social cliques, they have the most similar, i never got why they never got along, besides the racist skins. either way, i quit the 100% punk rock way because there's no glory in being a vagabond. you all got to the same song searching for it, just listen to it. joe strummer would be bummed
I just want to point out that ska is NOT punk + reggae, though many people seem to think so.
Ska was the local music style in Jamaica in the 60's, when Marley was unknown and was starting to play what would be reggae, and obviously way before punk rock was born as a musical style in England.
For good information on Ska history, check the wikipedia.
just like the last one, just like the first one!
i like this song
Also, if you spend all this time insulting each other and debating what is and isn't punk, you probably should just go play in traffic and stop trying to answer the age old question of 'what is art" but in a slightly different wording. Here is the answer: YOU WILL NEVER GET A DEFINITIVE ANSWER!
@skapunkarmy damn straight. i go to a uniform school and my hair is curly but i role into that mothafucka listening to tim, the aggrolites and agnostic front and all the oldschool ska and hardcore. US army love
music is awesome but im so sick of tims videos being in black and white all the time
i mean like all his music videos are like that and in give em the boot its black and white for nearly every live show clip
real skinehads never racist
real skinhead = jamaica = inglaterra = ska = rocksteady = reggae = early!!
haha :P punk is lol:P if you say somethings punk people are very fast with comments no its not blablablaH:p like Fuck it call it punk, call it ska, call it reggeapop:S(i dont care) :P i like it:)
yeah op ivy was probably the best band ever, and rancid is the shitz snizzle too but Tim's solo shit is fuckin terrible, and the transplants, they sold out to a fuckin shampoo company...
16 years wow , that was a fast 16 years
Aye.
i like what you say , but punks have a reason for why they hate other music and i thing that is because punks have what to talk about ,and when they see people ho talks about other tinks that could be stupids they dont like it,but i think its sometink that is changing.
hmm... im not black.. im asian
and if it's wake up you son of a bitch,. then fine.
im in a mood of relaxing ~o~
so im not going to argue with you
This song and album is choice.
It's in such heavy rotation for me at the moment, good summer sounds I reckon.
Loooooove Tim Armstrong, only heard about him a few weeks ago!
download adblock plus brotha. no more youtube commercials. i promise it really works.
Punk rocker, skin head, whatever the fuck you may be... who cares... in the end its all about life. just listen to the music!
its deffinatly punk to be anti-emo.... emo is a sad excuse for a music genre and an even sadder excuse for a fashion... yuck
Putain de reggae.. souvenir au boobooz à bisca ya quelques temps
tim se kere parecer mucho a joe strummer......
ke se kede en rancid nada mas....
Always A Great Track To Party To....EVEN Solo!!🍻
DA
thank you lord for matt
making it home safe...'.
peace and blessings my friend :)
missed you and hidey :)
Light my bowl to this every morning..
Most music is emotional... Punk rock is no more emo than blues or jazz. And emo is not what it used to be.
You're terribly lost. This is ska music and punks have been listening to and recording ska since the 70's.
You're terribly lost. This is ska music and punks have been listening to and recording ska since the 70's.
:_) i dont knok what it is but this kills sadness
meh... emo just twists 12 year old kid's minds into thinking self injury is something you do to be cool.
Enoy! Be sure to check out Op Ivy.
You know what I love about you? I'm not cool enough.
such a feel good song. going through a lot right now and this came on last.fm. made me feel so much better. - a poet's life. -
i know he loves ska but he is not paying proper tribute to past legends with this......thing.
Only Tim can make me like this type of music
lol, I'm so glad you were that interested in me.
thank you for your time kind sir.
@xXxRubySohoxXx haha hardcore crew disguised as preps. little did they know.
Heard this track today for the first time. Good song, indeed....Takes the edge off.
Strange that he never fucks up musically or what?
thats the only camera they had to use, the color vids were made by the lords
Kinda begs the question: why are you here if you don't like his singing???
I love this song! Reminds me....my 1st mohawk :D :D :D
Broke up? what the hell are u talking about?
they never broke up
I love this dude, his music is so cool.

Miss you Ruben. Hope you're well. Your old Friend Drew. LA Puente OG Oi! Boi!'s!!!🇺🇸🍻🎸🇲🇽
this is the only good thing in his whole career
does anybody agree that green day is not punk!!
Check out Transplants and Rancid too!
Upsetting. wow ur emo. I like what i like.
i am 14 years old and have grown up with rancid and tim armstrong all of my life, sharing this music with my friends seems to be some sort of joke but when im bouncing to this skankin beat nothings a joke. so cheers my friends and dont give a fuck.
Well. They're not mutually exclusive concepts. Some 14 year old kids are more grown up than many adults I know...
...but I guess that the past tense in that kids comment means that during his or her journey to the ripe old age of 14 (lol) Rancid and T.A. have been present... so. This comment is kinda useless.
@jwblsm83 it's funnier because it's LMFAO and david guetta metal version, and i'm disliking bieber. and at least i tried, not like you, just writing invalid arguments. your argument is barely invalid
Uh, most of you people suck at this RUclips platform. If you wanna comment on someone's post, click on the little word balloon. All this is too chaotic to make any sense.
Great song, though! I've been listening to Rancid and Tim since I was 13 or 14, in 1996!
i got an 85 diplomat... it had a 318... now with my 440 i get 11. not too bad for something with 400 hp and 425 ft lbs of torque... i just wish it was as plush as the caddy. i offered to race it for pinks... and Parisi (the owner during this video)asked me, Why in the hell would i wanna lose my caddy to a piece of shit dodge?" the only complimeint he ever gave me.
it is whne you spell it with an x haha
