      @str1xt 3 года назад +5

      @@arunhembram1859 I still have them and have now added a pair of rel 510 subs. I love the TAD sound. The tweeter is something else. Not a hint of harshness, yet they are are to produce a wonderful crisp sound.
      Everything fits together and you can easily find yourself 3-4 hours in really feeling and enjoying every recording.
      They are bookshelf speakers, big ones at that, so yes there is a little missing of the bottom end, but my god can they give it a go.
      The soundstage is quite wide. Everything is open and airy. but due to there size the sweet spot is tighter than a full range floor stand. They are a great speaker for personal listening sessions.
      Vocals are sublime. They can handle anything you throw at them.
      I would like to try a pair of ce1’s. Just to see if I’m missing out though.
      The TAD sound is something else. It just ticks all the right boxes. Am I pleased with them? I fricking love them. Don’t think I would want to buy another brand if I’m honest
      So far I haven’t managed to integrate the subs yet. I will endeavour to push through and make it happen. But I’m in no hurry.

    In the ME1, probably the most "mechanical" and "inorganic" sounding high end bookshelf speaker ever to come across. Dynamic both macro and micro are quite good. Imaging is precise. Not very musical & would induce listener fatigue rather quickly. Compact yes, compressed and reserved with very little finesse. In TAD's favor, the E1 TX is just a far better performer.

    Can I ask what speaker cables are included in this setup?

    • @dedskin1
      @dedskin1 3 года назад

      You do know that speaker cables if they are short , say 5-6 feet make no difference, cant even measure it . For the highest range above 10K there can be slight difference but a lot of times due to complexity of design expensive cables end up worse then cheap ones . For example when they use lots of stranded wires , those wires form a capacitor and inductor and roll off high end , so they advertise that as boost in bass , or warmer cable . When its actually worse cable
      Thye do this to cut induction noise , but i have no Noise problems . My Noise floor is as low as -100dB or more , there are no induction buzzing or whatever .
      In my measurement's the most i have measured is 3dB difference in 15K plus range
      Some uneducated listeners will say , well that is it , there is a difference , its worth 1000$
      To those i say if you move your head 1Cm in each direction , or and inch for Americans , you will get 6dB difference .
      and i dont see those ppl making DIY head fixing contraption for listening music , so as to keep their head fixed .
      This bothers me a lot i would like to fix it, but no amount of money will fix it , its just how it goes .
      Headphones fix it , but headphones have other problems , such as stress .. so
      One has to be realistic or risk being an idiot

      @@dedskin1 you still waste your time with measurements?? …. Use your ears. They will tell you the difference between a cheap cable and a great one…with ease!

    • @dedskin1
      @dedskin1 2 года назад

      @@bikemike1118 That is not my experience , if you dont know what to listen for you will never hear it , like if you dont know what to look for you will never see it .
      Because we are talking small differences .
      People who best hear guitars are guitar players , they know what to listen for .
      People who best hear differences between amps are people who make them , they know what to listen for .
      And common audiophile is clueless , ive seen them thinking they hear better on Passive crossovers , when scientifically its not the case active ones are sharper and more revealing .
      Because again , when you tell them listen to the difference , they dont hear any , they dont know what to listen for .
      And i know what to listen for in a cable design , its the high end .
      And i have found no difference between any kind of cable that is short , talking half or meter long cable , thats 2 - 3 feet .
      Impossible to hear even on active crossover and titanium tweeters , i know i tried .
      And Microphones do hear better and every engineer designing audio gear uses microphones not ears , because they detect better , 100x better then you or me .
      That is the truth .
      And if you dont believe that i will show you scientifically that my microphone hears 100x better then you or me . No problem .
