Il y a quelques jours j'arrivais une heure en retard pour une session ! Aujourd'hui j'arrive avec une heure d'avance. Le Cargo Time reste après plus de 20 ans des plus têtus ! Après avoir filmé Diarmuid et Brian au Centre Culturel Irlandais, il y a six ans de cela, nous avons rendez vous dans le salon d'un hôtel du IXe arrondissement de Paris. Ils sont accompagnés de Alain MacPhaidín qui joue de l'Harmonium sur scène avec eux. On se remémore notre première rencontre, on échange sur ce merveilleux endroit qu'est le CCI tout en se mettant en place pour tourner notre nouvelle session. Une petite répétition et le trio se lance. Ce petit salon parisien, qui ressemble à tant d'autres se transforme instantanément ! Les voix magiques des deux frères emplissent l'espace, la musique nous enveloppe, nous transporte, nous émeut. Les mélodies, les harmonies, les émotions s’enchaînent. Tout se passe dans une douceur, une déconcertante facilité. Les Ye Vagabonds se réajustent entre chaque prise et nous... nous, nous n'avons plus l'impression d'être à Paris, mais dans un village irlandais au bord de mer. La musique du duo nous donne envie de grands paysages, d'horizon perdu sur une mer envoûtante, nous donne envie de chaleur, de regards, de rires et de larmes aussi. La musique des Ye Vagabonds est un concentré d'émotions pures à l'image de celles que vous pouvez ressentir en sillonnant les routes d'Irlande. Leurs chansons sont à l'images de ce pays et de ses habitants. Leur musique est belle, incroyablement belle. Tout simplement !
