I was in the military and 19 yrs old at the time, but I really learned about house music when I got stationed in Germany 2 years later, and a couple of guys from Chicago ( Thomas Jackson and Ronald Savage ) taught me about all the songs and artist. Savage made me all sorts of mixed tapes, ( some I still have to this day ) and Jackson used to dance to the music like it was nobody's business. I always say nobody did house like those kids from Chicago. I'll be 54 soon and house music still moves me like a kid all over, like so many others, looking back on it , it was a special time in my life, especially for a country boy coming from a small town in NC. Pretty good mix here

ceksenior I want to say due to the timing issues I hear a lot of layering that is either 4 or 8 time mixed over 16 but the music is great the rest is just technical but I loved the choice of songs
bravo Antonio! Based on some of the comments who call it a mish-mash of tunes and too many tunes in a short timeframe probably don't understand the concept of the HOT MIX. But in Chicago we lived for the Hot Lunch Mixes at Noon and the weekend nights for all the Hot Mixes on the radio.
I remember every club I went to in Chicago from the 80s to the late 90s. I am 53 and I tell my kids we danced until 6 am AMD never fought or got shot in the parking lot after the club closed. We usually went to Hollywood grill for breakfast! I am so old school, anybody remember Mendel parties? Chicago state K building parties? Cathedral parties?

OMG! I had to pull off the road when the Whistle Song was mixed in ... I could not safely drive while the Knuckles was whistlin'. So many memories ... the tears flowed but it was all good.
Takes me back to memory lane at these clubs......The Rainbo, The Riviera, Medusa, Eric's North, Eric's South, The 123 Club, AKA, China Club, Prime N Tender, The Warehouse, ToTo's, the Navy Pier Ballroom, The Phoenix, Excalibur, The Odeum, KaBoom, Stardust, 13 Colonies, The Polo Club, Mother's, Eddie Rockets, Spy Bar, there were other ones that I forgot the names of that I went to as well, but they housed it up at those clubs too!!! I miss thoze nights!!! I MISS MY YOUTH!!!
Best part of lockdown, listening to the music of my young adulthood... Dropping off the kids at the sitter's, dancing till 2-3am with my girls, never worrying about dudes spiking our drinks or getting jacked or shot walking to our car, driving down LSD & 294, eating pork chop sandwiches on Maxwell... that was life!
I’m 21 and wished the Warehouse and other legendary House nightclubs still existed in this century!! So glad for my city give some amazing DJs like Knuckles, Jefferson, Heard and Saunders. Thank you House for being alive and bringing in all different generations together!

What was great about that time as a DJ was that you could go from the North Side to the South Side and hear so many different styles of mixing like in no other town.
